I usually have no issues when I eat here. Most of my visits have been curbside. However, on May 20th, 2022 at around 12:30 PM, I decided to go through the drive through. I'll usually ignore a bad experience if I've had a substantial amount of neutral to positive experiences. However, this particular experience just rubbed me the wrong way in too many ways to just let it slide.
First I was greeted with the one taking my order. The young man on the mic was very impatient. He asked me what I'd like, and before I could even start saying the classic "can I get uhhhh", he interrupts me and asks if anyone was there. There was probably only 1 second of dead air before he sprung this question. Even if I did know what I wanted there was no way I would've been able to say it within that pause.
That wasn't my only problem when ordering. When I did finally start ordering, he kept interrupting me after every item. He asked me to repeat myself several times as well. I would chalk this up to a simple miscommunication but within one of the breaks I heard him chuckle. Like he was purposely annoying me.
After that I moved to the pay window. I had no issues paying for my order. I then moved to the first pickup window. Here I received either a completely incorrect version of my order or someone else's order. I didn't realize before I drove away but I realized in time to stop at the second pickup window.
I waited a little bit and someone came to my window and brought me my correct order. After a bit of confusion, I finally received my food and was allowed to keep the incorrect order. I drove off, parked, and ate my food.
That's not where it ends unfortunately. When I took my first bite of a cheeseburger from the incorrect meal, I was immediately unsettled. It was soggy. Usually the bun can be a little bit soggy due to the ketchup soaking in. However, this was beyond that. It was as if someone dipped the bun in cool water. Although I figured/hoped the liquid was just spilt water or grease or something like that, I could not shake the possibility that the sogginess was caused by something else of bodily origin. As a result, I did not continue eating the burger and spit out what I had in my mouth. I'm not currently alleging that someone did sabotage my food, but I could not shake that thought while attempting to eat it.
The service that I received today was nearing a complete failure. However, I am rating 2 stars instead of 1 because I've been here quite a bit and never had an experience quite like this. I plan to come back later to see if the drive thru experience I had was a fluke. If it was a fluke, then I will increase my rating and write a more positive review. If it wasn't, then expect this review to decrease to 1 star and my patronage to cease.
As if anyone really cares for these reviews...
Read moreThis morning, no one was at the register for a short time. After he appeared, he was polite and took my order correctly.
I noticed a employee with a African scarf tied up around her head and would think this is unsanitary. The manager was talking to her about her hair color.
From the manager, who put my order together, I received my to-go order with no napkins in the bag. It was a good thing I checked my order because my hotcakes and sausage had no sausage. I spoke to a employee who turned and walked away. When she returned, she came straight to me. Without apology, my tray was given to the grill worker who finished other orders first. So I waited again. I felt like saying they owed me two patties for the inconvenience.
I don't know when McDonald's changed their sausage, but it is gross. Unfortunately, I forgot. The only thing this McDonald's has going for it is it is near to the hotel in which I am staying.
Updated: This afternoon, I needed food for my dog, so I thought I would try this store again. While a young man, wearing a "do rag" under his hat which extended down his neck and back, was taking another order, I decided to try the kiosk. I like it! I got my order punched in, correctly, and I waited. While I waited, I watched a couple of the grill guys acting silly, popping towels, etc. I know it takes 5 minutes to cook a special hamburger, but I waited about 6 more for my plain hamburgers to be wrapped, bagged, and handed to me, again, with no napkins. And the store...
Read morei would like to start off this review by saying that i am someone who has worked in the food industry for years. i know how stressful it can be & i give even more credit to those who have worked so hard throughout the pandemic. however, my experience today at this location was awful. i went through the drive through & the person whotook my order was talking so fast i could barely understand what she was saying. i tried to tell her the drinks i wanted with my meal to which she responded “so you don’t want coke then?” in the worst attitude i have heard in a long time. i started rambling & apologizing & could feel a panic attack coming on but i just tried my best to get through the rest of the order. i understand that work can be hard & stressful, but i think it’s important as humans to be kind & understanding of each other. i’m always very polite & patient when i place orders & unfortunately it wasn’t reciprocated at this location today. i never expect people to be bubbly or overjoyed to be taking my order at a McDonalds, but to be treated with basic human decency i feel is a valid thing to ask for. i hope whoever she is, she was talked to after this. please do better next time, not just for me but also for disabled individuals who may be hard of hearing or have a...
