It has some nice features and is always buzzing with activity and an interesting cross section of people which is kind of nice. The service is always pleasant. But the coffee is absolutely nothing special and a few times was not even hot (and as someone else mentioned it's not cheap). They also don't have a black tea. They have Earl Gray. I'm not sure if realize that Earl Gray is a flavored black tea (flavored with bergamot) that not everyone likes. Several times I just wanted basic black iced tea and no can do. And the iced tea is $4.83 for a 16 oz no refills. The internet is often really slow and today I wasted at least 10 minutes trying to sign on because I didn't want to bother the busy staff and finally I was told the guest internet isn't working. Maybe post a sign? Then, to top it all off, there was another customer playing Bernie Sanders videos and other political commentary at top volume at the table right next to me. I understand that's kind of awkward for them to try to do anything about that particular customer's lack of etiquette but it doesn't make for a great customer experience. Guess I'll have to bring my noise cancelling...
Read moreI went through the drive through. The blended iced chai is great. Lightly sweet, full cup great spice flavor and no syrup. That I will recommend. The service staff needs a little bit more training. If I’m going to go to a higher end place, when I ask if a menu item is available and it’s met with a “No.” and silence it’s a little off putting. I ended up ordering a grilled cheese panini and 6 pack of macaroons. The panini wasn’t toasted all the w, the cheese was American and then something funkier that didn’t blend well. I love cheese and frequently consume higher end more funky cheeses and this recipe needs some work. The one side also tasted like a burnt grill which wasn’t wonderful. The macaroons are cute and looked delicious but I almost broke a tooth biting into one as all of them were served to me frozen solid. For the price and knowing we have many bakers in the area who specialize in macarons, I expected fresh ones. I’ll give it another shot in the coming weeks and let them work out the kinks of being new in the area. For now, less than impressed for the higher end...
Read moreMeg-A-Latte has an exceptional group of employees, every time I come in they never fail to recommend tasty drinks and food. They serve all kinds of drinks, tea and energy drinks with a vast variety and combinations of flavors. You can literally build any kind of drink you can think of! They also have a rotating selection of featured drinks every month which is fun! With every new establishment comes a learning period and wait times. It’s important to remember that the employees are trying their best to deliver amazing service and quality drinks/food in a timely manner. If any mistakes are made they are always quick to fix it if you have the time to ask. In the first few months I would definitely give yourself a good 30 minute window as they are an exceptional coffee establishment and will therefore be busy. I recommend Meg-A-Latte to everyone, and will continue to do so! Ditch Caribou/Starbucks and enjoy a locally owned coffee shop that takes pride and care in providing a great...
