I really don't know where to start on this post. Time stamp on my order ticket was 5:51pm on a Wednesday evening. I was the only person in line, I waited for a solid 5 minutes before ordering as well. I walked out with my subs at 6:15pm. There were 4 employees there that looked as though they had no clue what to do, the cross contamination was eye opening watching them prepare the sandwiches. So yes, the had gloves on, however your bread is handled without wax paper at least 4 times and placed on the plastic cutting board where ALL sandwiches are prepared. Once the meat is ready to put in the sandwich it gets put onto the bread, that of which every sandwich made spilled on the cutting board and then picked up with their gloved hands is then put onto the bread. Then if they didn't get all the meat on the bread they just slid it into the garbage that was right there. No employees gloves were changed the entire 24 minutes I was there. Oh yeah, your order ticket follows on top of your bread along the way too being touched by 4 different people who have made many other sandwiches along the way, wiping the cutting board with their gloved hand to sweep extra toppings into the trash. Nothing about this seems sanitary. Aside from the wait time the cross contamination all around is mind blowing. I've never written a bad review however this is warranted. There were no managers or owners present. I did feel sorry for 4 young kids trying to manage that of which they could not. It was pathetic and overall I'm surprised this location has not been sighted for food safety. Food not worth the wait and you can bet I will not be back to a Firehouse...
Read moreI came here about a week ago and picked up a 3rd party Uber Eats order. When I arrived I told them my customer’s name and even showed them the order and an older lady (I assume is a supervisor) refused to make the order because she said I had been the second person to come and pick it up but it wasn’t on their Uber tablet so they couldn’t make it. I told her it was on my phone as an active order so it’s a little weird how it wouldn’t be showing on their end. At my work we have Uber Eats orders so I know the routine and how to work the tablet. She told me she couldn’t make it and seemed very irritated with me even coming in. After searching for 30 seconds she found it and started making it.
I waited for about 10-15 minutes before my order of one sub and two cookies were ready, all the while the same older lady was scowling and criticizing her employees very openly and it was very uncomfortable knowing this is how they present their business to the customers. She seemed very stressed and unhappy with her job.
I am an assistant manager at a restaurant so I tend to recognize holes in customer service and I was not very pleased with the customer service here, especially it being my first time even coming into any Firehouse Subs. I will not be picking up an delivery orders nor will I come in here just to eat, at least not...
Read moreOn 2/24/20 I was in town for business and decided to have lunch at the Firehouse Sub in Fargo because I had never been to one before. The woman who took my order was around 50 yrs (give or take) of age. As she took my order she was very unfriendly. After I told her the sandwich I would like she asked if I would like to round up the difference for charity. I said no but I would like something to drink. She them gave a smirk and said sharply "Well what would you like". So when I was looking at my options she proceeded to rapidly explain my choices that I was looking at as to hurry me up. This whole experience was very off putting to the point that I felt the need to write this review. This is only the second time in 37 yrs that I have written a negative review. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she hates her job. Either way I found this unacceptable The 2 stars giving was because the place was clean and the sandwich maker was friendly. The sub was really good as well. I hope that this helps in providing a warmer greeting and experience for those that decide to have there meals at the...
