Poke Bowl — Restaurant in Fargo

My response to the owners response: I want to be ABUNDANTLY CLEAR, my initial review wasn't about the staff not wearing clean gloves, I don't negate that. In fact, yes ,she was wearing clean gloves! I want to be clear: when the staff member attempted to scoop the tuna into the poke bowl, she missed, and about half of the tuna pieces didn't make it into the bowl. Instead, they fell into the container that the sauces sit inside of. Not the sauces themselves, as yes, the sauces are indeed closed. However, I was talking about the silver container that the sauces sit inside of, is where they ended up landing. She then dug into the bottom of the THAT container, to fish out the tuna pieces that fell, and returned it to the main tuna supply, instead of discarding them like she should have. Hopefully now I made myself more clear, as that's the point that I was trying to make, and the reason for my initial review. Because of what happened that day, and her refusal to fix the issue (or get a Manager), she ruined our lunch plans and we were forced to go elsewhere for better, more hygienic service.

Original 1-star review: My recent experience at this establishment was highly disappointing due to significant hygiene concerns. While ordering poke bowls, I witnessed an employee mishandle tuna. Several pieces fell into a sauce container, and instead of discarding them, she picked them out and returned them to the main tuna serving. This is a clear breach of food safety and left me deeply disturbed. When I asked to speak with a manager about this, the employee stated she was the manager, which contradicted an earlier statement she made about a "manager's rule" regarding protein combinations. Someone POKE me, because I must be dreaming up how good these dang poke bowls are!! Ugh, I’ve been told for several years now that I needed to try a poke bowl and how good they are, and I am indeed mad at myself for not listening sooner.

This couldn’t have been better, to me. I’ve only had 2 poke bowls so far, but this one was by far the superior. I’m all about having the right balance in any food or drink I try, and this was exactly how I wanted it. I got shrimp for my protein and went to town. And the spicy mayo, one of my obsessions, just really rounded out the meal because it’s actually quite spicy, but again not too much- it’s all about those ratios, baby.

I took a bunch of my family members here who were first time poke bowl triers, and they were all easily persuaded. We shared a couple bowls between all of us and there were zero leftovers....

Ono grindz, broke da mouth!!!! Fresh ahi, great sauces, great squid salad, amazing limu seaweed, avocado, edamame,fresh sprouts. It was a bit too expensive for the small portion but very good flavor. Mango would be a good addition for the bowl option. Silly to ask for a tip with no service on top off the high price. Miso soup not included, too bad. Cute atmosphere.
