I don't leave this review lightly but here it goes. It seems everytime I go to Texas roadhouse here in Fargo I have a terrible experience and today was no different . Today my parents, my wife, and my friend went out to celebrate my wife and I's birthday (group of 5). When we arrived there it was a 25-35 minute wait which is not a big deal because there's usually always a wait. When we checked in I specially asked for a table to accommodate guests in our group and not a booth. We wait our turn which ended up being 45 minutes and we went back inside. It was so crowded as so many people were waiting inside to be seated and not many people waited in thier cars for a text and there was really no place to stand as there is no waiting room because that got taken over by the to go area. We get told to stand in the corner by the desk and wait as we were on deck. We were treated like an inconvenience at this point by the person taking reservations and we were moved around packed in an entry way like sardines. We then waited another ten minutes and get moved around eventually by the wall waiting to be seated. As we stood there were were getting hit by servers walking with food trays and some servers weren't even paying attention running into some of us. We end up getting brought to our table and it's a booth with a chair at the end of it (keep in mind the chair is in the walkway so again one of us would have to be in the way of everyone walking around). I then reminded the staff that I asked for a table two times when I checked in. They then looked confused and asked will his not work? I said no we needed a table. We then go back to the front where they say we are going to have to wait another 25 minutes. I told the staff about this happening in the past before and how we were treated rudly by staff in the past and we were trying to make a better experience. Our group talked it over and cut our losses and went somewhere else to eat. It wasn't going to be worth the 75 minute wait we would have had to endure. All in all, The attitude of some of the staff leaves alot to be desired and the function of how things are run does as well. What was supposed to be a fun night out celebrating two people turned into a nightmare. I understand they have a busy time and are in a rush but that is no excuse for poor treatment of guests and not listening to accommodation requests. One of the last times we went there we ran into a similar situation where we were seated again at a booth and not a table and we tried to make it work but people in the group weren't comfortable and it ended up ruining the whole experience. This used to be my favorite place to celebrate my birthday and eat and it is now a last resort and probably will not be back. The food is good but not at the cost of being treated like an inconvenience by staff at a business you are paying to have...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would! We were here on August 12th getting a To go order of a sirloin steak and a chicken critter salad. We were 25 minutes past our assigned time. I went up nicely to check and see how much longer it would be at the end of our time slot. I was yelled at that it would be another 10-15 minutes. I said ok we have already waited 45 minutes. There were 3 other gentleman waiting in the area as well saying they’ve waited for over 20 minutes beyond their slot for a couple desserts as well. All the while the boy employee was yelling “I’M WORKING ON IT” I told the employee that I would just like a refund at that point and wasn’t going to wait any longer. Magically the food was done in the next 5 minutes. When I went up to get the food he threw the food out the window and slammed the window shut. I then checked the bag and we were missing a few things I waited patiently at the window all the while the male employee was SCREAMING “WHAT DOES SHE WANT?” While another female employee came over to see if I was missing something. I then was so annoyed and worried for the males mental health I went in to speak with a manager I have worked in customer service and never seen someone acting like this. It was not that busy there that night. The manager told me that he would be in contact with me the next day and he had already received other complaints. When I got home all our food was cold, ice cold. There was no way they were waiting on any of our food to get done. Steak had to be warmed up as well as the chicken. Bread was hard as a rock and we live 2 minutes from Texas Roadhouse. I called back the next day to make sure my complaint was heard because I was flabbergasted by the horrible situation the night before and wanted to make sure it was brought to people’s attention. I was told again that Brandon the owner would be in contact as he’s the only one that was handling refunds or the to go situation as they had received many complaints. A week goes by and nothing. I called back again and was told Brandon was out of town until Wednesday this week and he would be in contact with me asap. Again this happened on the 12th of August. It is the 29th and we have yet to hear anything from management and have tried multiple times to address this with them. I am not one to leave Google reviews but the man working the to go side needs to not ever have a job in customer service based on his interactions. Clearly management knows he has issues and had multiple complaints but chooses to just ignore customer complaints or doesn’t try to fix them as long as they get your money! Sad this place had gone so...
Read moreWent in tonight to get a nice steak dinner with my daughter! It took much longer than usual to get the food the first time. My steak was supposed to be medium. What they brought me was in between medium well and well. I am not the type to send food back but I'm not paying for a dry burnt steak. So the server told me they put a new one on the grill and it will be the first steak out. 25 minutes later ( I should have known because if you cook a steak for 25 minutes it's way past medium) the steak comes out. I'm asked to cut into it by the, not so nice, manager. So I did and immediately could feel the steak wasn't medium because it was tough and hard and super charred. She left before I could even taste it and as soon as I did, I about had to spit it out because it was so dry and tough! Just awful with no juice or anything! The photo I'm adding is of the SECOND steak as I didn't take a photo of the 1st one. I then asked to just have that meal removed because I had not eaten anything since I was waiting for the steak before eating the sides. The manager came over and was not nice about this, instead acted as if I was a burden. She said she'd take the meal off and took the food as if I wanted to keep it and get the meal free. I don't think my dog could safely eat that dryed up hunk of meat. It was just very inconsiderate and harsh instead of apologetic and reconciling.
So about 1 hour and 45 minutes after we get there, my daughter has eaten and I've not. The manager did not offer to get me something else or anything. She acted like she was doing me a favor by comping the meal I could not eat and had exactly 1 bite of! I left feeling extremely disappointed in the way this was handled. In my opinion I should have been offered something else for all the time I waited for nothing. I will not be going back here after this and I usually go monthly and order the exact same thing. I have NEVER had an issue before this. 2x steak wrong and rude manager not actually doing anything to compensate for their repeated mistakes is enough to keep me away from now on. Horrible experience! The server was nice throughout and I tipped him 15$ on my 26$ ticket. Not even sure why my daughters chicken tender meal cost so much either. Oh that's right, it's because the manager couldn't even go a little extra mile and comp the 3$ sodas we had while I waited for almost 2 hours and didn't even get to eat. What a...
