Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in West Fargo

This is my favorite caribou to go to in Fargo—if you go during the morning/early afternoon. As the day carries on, the service is on a steady decline. I have seen the whole place in shambles with employees chatting behind the counter while tables and floors are dirty. I have had an employee smash chairs into my table to mop (2-3 hours before close mind you). And this most recent round I was told they could not warm my food because “we closed down the warmer for the night”. This was an hour before close. I spent 10 years in the bar and restaurant industry. NONE of this would fly at my previous places of employment. On the flip side, they make their food/drinks quickly and it’s a very cozy feeling inside. Highly recommend early in the day. Highly recommend NOT going within 3 hours of close. SLOW. I wish I could take my tip back. I waited for 20 minutes for a single drink and there was no one in the store. At least tell me there will a wait or acknowledge me. I left a generous tip too (I also work in industry). Check my other reviews… I never leave bad reviews…(see anyone in line from my photo? I don’t think so….

If I took the energy to walk in please acknowledge me. Drive thru seems to be a priority here)

I let water run for 3 minutes to wash my hands in the bathroom and it was still ice cold. I feel clean hands is more important then masks.

The store is otherwise clean, inviting and the end product is good.

Seriously work on CS.

It reminds me of places you try to go in person and the employee prioritizes a person who calls in with a question over a person who is there in person...

Ever get excited to revisit a place after years.. only to leave wondering why you came back at all? I hadn’t been to Caribou Coffee in over six years.. and I was genuinely looking forward to giving it another try. But the experience left me feeling disappointed and unwelcome.

I was the only car in the drive-thru, yet the wait was long. When I mentioned that it was one of my first times back in years and I wasn’t totally sure how to order.. I was met with eye rolls and snarky attitudes from the staff. The sottiness and mocking behavior were honestly shocking—and completely unacceptable for any customer service setting.
