This used to be a Village Inn, the tables and booths survived the transition. The TV facing us still had the energy star sticker on it, and a mess of cables around it. But donât come here for the atmosphere.
The food, and the service are what will keep you coming back. Upon being seated, warm chips were delivered with small carafes of salsa. The chips were thin and crispy and the salsa had just enough bite. They kept filing both without delay.
The menu is large, youâll probably find what youâre looking for. The food came so fast, we thought it must have been someone elseâs order. I had a chicken chimichanga. Would have preferred the tortilla were crunchy instead of soft, but the shredded chicken was on point, as was the Spanish rice. Others ordered beef enchiladas, tacos and a burrito. No one was able to finish their food, but all enjoyed it.
The only disappointment was also the biggest surprise. The fried ice cream didnât have enough crunchy goodness on the outside, and chocolate syrup instead of honey. A surprise because not only is a meal free on your birthday, but so is dessert!
Drinks were refilled often, empty plates cleared quickly, and our check received promptly. The manager stopped a couple times to check in, but not intrusive.
Location and atmosphere are not great, but great food, great service will have us coming back, and...
Read moreJust a heads up...the worst experience at Casa Mexico today.. I would never go there again with my kids or without them. They do not honor "kids eat free sundays" even though they advertise it on their website. When we showed them he smiled and said "too bad , nothing can be done". Numerous mistakes on the bill and when we asked to have them changed, our server said its impossible. We then asked for a manager and was told the same thing and that they cannot do anything. We also were freezing and appeared to not have heat in the building. We asked if something was wrong and they said no...just that the building cannot heat the whole place... my kids were miserable and even jackets didn't keep them warm. Others were coming back in with blankets and gloves and the servers were even wearing their jackets. Terrible customer service so will not be returning. I'm shocked at how this was not handled. Manager just walked away and didn't want to address anything. Also didn't even provide chips and salsa until we asked for it after our meal came. This was our 3rd visit and each time something wasn't right but we kept trying but no longer will go there and will not be recommending this...
Read moreWe had lunch there on Friday, November 22nd at around 11am. The food was good and the staff friendly. We were seated quickly and the space looked clean and attractive (I love Frida Kahlo, so the artwork was great!).
In an attempt to be helpful, I have a few suggestions. First, a sign on the door or just inside the outer door would help people find the restaurant more easily until you have permanent signage. Also, please encourage the servers to say hello and welcome before asking if your customers would like something to drink, checking frequently to see if they need refills, as would finding a less awkward way to ask if they would like anything else or if they are ready for the check. I felt like the server was scared of us and didn't want to be there. However, we will go back because we realize that they are new to all of this and hopefully, things...
