Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Farmington Hills

Let me just start by saying this: Dairy Queen’s ice cream machine works. Revolutionary, I know. Somewhere, a McDonald’s employee just felt a chill down their spine.

I walked into this DQ expecting the usual ice cream store experience: long lines, sad vibes, and maybe a half-melted cone if I was lucky. But nope—these folks shattered my expectations like a chocolate-dipped cone hitting the pavement on a hot day. The staff was quick, efficient, and somehow happy to be there. (Are they okay? Did they eat too many Dilly Bars?)

The Blizzard? Absolute perfection. Mixed so thoroughly that even the tiniest Oreo crumb couldn’t escape the swirl. And yes, they flipped it upside down like it was some kind of Olympic sport. If that happened at McDonald’s, the employee would probably disappear into a portal of shame.

Dairy Queen, thank you for proving that ice cream machines CAN function, that service doesn’t have to feel like a hostage situation, and that dessert should always come with a side of competence. 11/10—take...

My husband and I have been going here since we moved to Farmington Hills in 2008. Recently, the quality has been declining. I keep finding shredded pieces of the paper cup collar (the one they use when blending the blizzards) inside my blizzard. This has happened numerous times since August 2022. Contacted the manager regarding this and was offered coupons for free blizzards. Got another blizzard a week ago and had the same issue. I don't want free coupons or replacements if I'm still getting foreign material in my ice cream. I just want to be able to order an ice cream and not have to worry about pieces of paper cup mixed into it. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to...

I have came here on previous occasions never been treated so rude. I gave the young man a $50 bill he went all the in the kitchen( dirty money should never be around open food, where's they need to retake ther9 food handler card test) to a guess was then manager on duty to check to see if it was real. I ask him dont you have a pen to check your money he reply it is here. Then I he made my order wrong than told his manager I didn't say that managet check me like he said he repeated your order back you didn't say that. He didn't charge you. Manager was rude also never going back. 😠😡p.s. I didn't get loud out of respect for other people...
