Service here was not good at all. First arriving there was no one to seat us, the girl that ended up seating us was also bussing tables. They need a greeter/seater employee to just concentrate on this so the wait isn't so long. When we were finally seated it was about 10min before our waiter Will, came by to see if we wanted a drink. We wanted to see a drink menu for the bar, to which we were told there was not one and he just asked us what alcohol we wanted. First off, he did not greet us and it seemed he did not want to be there. He doesn't seem like a people person. After taking our drink order we waited about another 15 min before we got them, to which he dropped them off and left without asking us if we were ready to order, which at this time we were ready. We waited for him to come back and finally I asked a waitress that was passing if she could find our waiter. He came by out 5 min. later and took our order. Our order came out timely which we seen due to the fact we ordered sushi and were seated at the sushi station but it sat there until one of the gentlemen saw our waiter go to the cash register and advised him it was ready so after finishing whatever he was doing he gave us our food The food was great and we were a bit sceptical on ordering Sushi at an Irish pub but it was real good. Their Calamari is so good and I do recommend trying. So our waiter never came by to see if we needed anything else. I once again had to ask a waitress to locate our waiter so we could request our bill. I think the waitress forgot because we waited awhile, so I stood up and asked one of the gentlemen behind the sushi bar if they could help me find him as I was standing up peering through the restaurant trying to locate him, finally I seen him and flagged him down. He got our ticket real quick but I just gave him my card so he can cash us out before we lost him again. Read moreBeing an avid supporter of local restaurants, as well as a fellow culinary enthusiast(cook/prep cook), I take no pleasure in participating with the criticism of other local enterprises. With that being said, I and my family experienced a somewhat disappointing dinner service this evening. My daughter and myself received our entrées a lot later than her mother did. I know there are different preparation times when dealing with sushi and regular menu items such as a burger, and a grilled chicken salad. Now I’m no server, but one would think that knowing these details would make your customers experience a lot better. When we finally got our food, the other half of our party was already finished. My salad came with olives already tossed into it, a mistake on my end because I failed to read the description, however, the grilled chicken was bland. I did my best to pick through it, but ultimately never took a bite, other than just to taste the chicken itself. By this time I had lost my appetite and pushed the plate away. We waited for my daughter to finish her burger, during which time the Chicken Cesar salad just sat on the table untouched. Our server never asked me if anything was wrong with my meal until it was time to pay the ticket. I also noticed the tables she had that were having alcoholic beverages got better service than us. Read moreFirst, thank you so much for being one of our favorite places to visit in Farmington when we visit family. Though our visits are years apart, our excitement to return to Clancy's remains unwavering, making it a must-visit several times each trip.
We also want to extend our appreciation to our servers. The service throughout our many visits was outstanding, especially during our last visit. (Apologies as we wrote down several names to mention and misplaced them!) You all are always so friendly, attentive, and hospitable. Thank you!
We commend the kitchen and cooks for the delicious food! Each meal was incredible, and we found ourselves craving Clancy's daily while we were there. Our only feedback to the kitchen staff is that on two visits, several of us found the burgers/smothered burgers to be a bit undercooked. We share this with our server to help continue delivering excellent food and service.
Again, thank you all so much. It’s truly amazing to have grown up with Clancy’s, seen it weather hardships like a pandemic and fire, and still remain a staple in the community.
