Wow! What a gem in Farmington. Really delicious, friendly staff. Highly recommend. I think I got the best Indian food I’ve ever had—the vegetarian Eggplant dish, I think called Bharta. I had never had it and it was recommended by the server. My god it was sooo good. The flavors were astounding, I don’t know how they did it! The Chicken Tiki Masala was yummy too, but the Bharta stole the show. You have to give it a try.
Definitely recommend the Samosa Chat. It’s huge, and FULL of chickpeas and bursting with flavor. Yum!
The rice is jeera rice! (Rice with cumin seeds) and that is my favorite as it gives such nice flavor.
We got the cheese naan and garlic naan. Neither were anything to write home about and we’d just get the plain naan next time—it was delicious naan but the extra cost of the flavored naan wasn’t worth it because there wasn’t really any flavor to them. But it was crispy and hot.
Mango lassi was good—we were just super disappointed it came in styrofoam with a plastic lid and plastic straw (something we intentionally try to avoid.
Overall, AMAZING and we’ll be back when in the...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Taste of India with friends 2 weeks ago. We had heard good things about the restaurant and wanted to try it. I love Indian food, and so I was really looking forward to it. I had the Kadai Ginger Lamb. My wife and our friend had Chicken Curry, and her husband had Chicken Tikka. The food was excellent! They made sure that we had plenty of rice, and brought more if we needed it. The only thing that disappointed us was the amount of heat. We ordered medium heat, thinking it might be too hot, but there was no heat at all. Next time I'll be trying extra hot and hopefully it will be spicier! Service was on the slow side, but when two people are trying to cover the dining room, that's completely understandable. We enjoyed the slow evening, and were thankful that we didn't feel rushed to leave. Next time we go, we'll be...
Read moreWent for dinner on a Wednesday around 6PM with my spouse and had a lovely experience. Capital has been spent in the right place; decor and settings are minimalist, because every drop of love and effort has gone rightly so into the Food!
Service was warm and attentive and the menu extensive and clearly laid out: we definitely want to return to try more items. Prices are affordable for a sit-down dinner and very worth it for the attention to detail and quality paid to the preparation of each dish. Would heartily recommend the Lamb Curry, though if you like spice, be sure to say so heartily as the kitchen is trying to tread lightly unless requested otherwise.
We have been eagerly awaiting this opening and were not disappointed. Will be...
