No-frills, great value! Farmington Steak House doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. It's a throwback to a simpler time. As of right now, they don't have a website. Heck, they don't even accept credit cards (cash or check only). It's about as simple and streamlined an eating experience as you'll get, and the amazingly low prices reflect that. You'll walk in, take an immediate left, and you'll find yourself in a cafeteria-style line (old-fashioned green tray included) where you peruse the wall-posted menu and marvel at the prices. Place your order with the man who will be grilling your meat, grab a premade side-salad from the cooler shelf, shuffle forward toward the cashier. Your steak will probably be ready by the time you pay. Then it's off to your old church-basement-style table and chairs. This place might not be fancy enough for some people, but the steak... SO TASTY. They obviously know what they're doing. They keep it simple and they do it well. We didn't need any sauces. It was a great steak for 1/3 what you may pay somewhere else that has a booth. I can hardly cook a steak for this cost at home, and it sure won't taste this good. I'm a fan of Farmington Steak House's humble, unassuming atmosphere, friendly service, and amazing value.

Beefin with late beef: I ordered a sirloin steak, after 20 minutes they said they forgot my order. I came here for my father's birthday. 40 years ago, it was one of the places my recently immigrated parents came to have dinner dates and they wanted me to try Farmington Steak House. Today they got the bbq ribs (Monday special) and a whole bunch of sides. They said the food tasted great and it wasn't too busy on a Monday. For the price point, 5 stars for food. Atmosphere was chill. I received my food 35 minutes late, was told someone would bring it to me, but they were waiting for me to pick it up when done. Mixed experience for my first time here. I left unhappy. Fantastic food but I don't know if I'll make the 30 min drive down again. Updated stars from 2 to 3 because though my experience wasn't ideal it's probably a fluke, and I'm sure other people will have a good experience

First thing first, this is cash establishment only so don’t forget to bring it with you! If you do forget, there is fee free ATM at the kwik trip nearby. I’ve been to this place since I was a kid and rave about it to my friends as a place to go to if we are ever in town. I visited this lovely place during COVID and it was packed and busy as I remembered it. The line took about an hour to get through but that’s okay. The staff was friendly and helpful as always and all wearing masks. The only problem is that, there is no enforcement of masks at all at this establishment. I’ve had a man in front of my party not wear a mask the whole hour while in line and there was not any enforcement of this. I noticed another customer as well not wear a mask further back in the line. The steakhouse is a super compact building, with a lot of elderly patrons in it. Overall other then my health concern, the steak was delicious and still everything I remembered it being. It’s worth the price and a visit if you’re willing to wait a bit in line. I would’ve rated this 5, but the non enforcement of masks during this time especially if you have a lot of elderly customers is...

My husband and I were really excited to go here as we'd heard great things about this place shortly after moving to town. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The "fast food"style service was odd but didn't influence our view, but the way the salads are kept was off and as suspected they were old and the lettuce were chewy so I didn't eat more than a bite. Was hopeful that the steak and baked potato would make up for it but the steak was overcooked and fatty, the potato not warm enough to melt butter. The seating is very uncomfortable as there is barely walking space between tables and the place was overcrowded. We've talked about going again to see if that was just a bad day but more recently reviews match our experience and we always decide on going somewhere else. Would still like to try again, but want to wait a little longer in a slower day to see if we can have the experience we've heard...
