I have now been here twice.. Both times were not all that great and I probably will not be going back for a third.
My first time the place was packed but under staffed it took way to long and there were way to many mistakes. Food was good but it wasn’t good enough for the hour and a half wait.
Now I went again today and figured why not try it again they have been open awhile so hopefully it’s better. I was wrong. There were probably 10 people there when we got there. For the whole bar was one bartender who’s also the waitress... and only one cook. We started off with mimosas and pretzels and beer cheese.. the cheese was nothing to brag about but it was decent. I then ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and he ordered a Rueben Wrap both with waffle fries and seasoned sour cream. Our food comes out and they left the cover on the seasoned sour cream and the date says 6/8 and it is runny and was a little more sour than sour cream should be. My buffalo wrap was ok but it’s also hard to mess that up.. was nothing impressive it was edible. Now the Rueben only had a few bites taken before realizing there were tiny cut up pieces of chicken in the basket by his fries... a Rueben has no chicken so why is there chicken in his basket.. well he didn’t eat anymore after that discovery. Now when the waitress finally came over he had told her he didn’t want it and rather than being concerned she looks and him with a dirty look and says why... he tells her about the chicken and the season sour cream and she just seemed annoyed about it all. I said to her a Rueben doesn’t have chicken in it so why does his basket have pieces of chicken it.. she says it’s probably from my wrap.. none the less it shouldn’t be in his basket... she took it off and gave us the check and we left... both looking at each other and saying well won’t go back to that place.
Side note you also don’t get seasoned sour cream with the waffle fries. And the charge you 1.50 for the bigger black plastic cup thing... and I was charged 1.50 for blue cheese to go with my buffalo wrap. 1.50 is just a rather high number for something that should just come with it automatically. NO SAUSE IS WORTH THE COST VALUE OF 1.50 that’s way to high of an upcharge but they have to make money...
Read moreUPDATED POST: We came here last night (2/20) to return for the steak. We arrived toward the end of the night, but we did call to clarify how late the kitchen was open prior to coming with respect to the staff. I was coming off of a 24 hour fast and looking forward to a high quality steak meal like I’ve had in the past here. I ordered a “medium” steak and it was served to me on a hot skillet and I removed it immediately because I could tell just by looking at it that it was way overcooked. I’m never the person to send food back to the kitchen, but I cut into it, took one bite and it was so overcooked that I couldn’t eat it. The server was very understanding and said that she’d have another one made for me. Take two: steak was delivered on a cold skillet and I don’t know that I would even consider it to be rare (see photo). I didn’t have to cut into it without knowing it was undercooked based on the firmness of it. I have never seen this cook before, nor will I probably ever order food here if it’s him cooking. I’m not sure if it’s because it was the end of the night and he simply wanted to go home or if he was making a statement after I returned the steak in the first place for being overcooked, but this is unacceptable. I came here wanting a high protein meal and ended up leaving after only eating a side salad and a few of my boyfriend’s tater tots. The server was very understanding and didn’t charge me for my meal. Props to the server for handling this well and apologizing for something out of her control. The cook on the other hand needs some guidance. I’m updating my review to 3 stars for the sake of the server. The server deserves 5 stars, but the cook deserves 1. We may consider returning here at some point, but it will be some time and I will not order if the same cook is working.

Read moreWe’ve been here about 6 times in the last year and probably won’t ever be back. Here’s why: The food has been just average up until this visit, but tonight is was horrible and not one order at our table was correct. The fish was so over fried it was rock hard dark brown and clearly not suitable for serving. The fries taste and the smoke coming off the fryer would indicate that the frying oil needs to be changed. We’ve yet to have good service and the staff seem to be different every time. The bartender is loud and obnoxious and ignores you if you’re not a regular. The only reason for me to even go to the bar was to get my own drink and buy pulltabs. The last time I was there the regulars at the bar were fishing for the last big winner in a box of pulltabs I also happened to be playing. When I found the $250 winner I stood at the end of the bar with the winner and my drivers license and while she ignored me she sold about another $200-$300 worth of pulltabs that had zero chance of winning anything other than playbacks. Doting on your regulars actually backfired, huh? The bathrooms are single seaters and someone barfed in the men’s room and this was at 7:00p. He wasn’t the only one over served because some woman left there clearly unable to drive and came back in 5 minutes later asking some guys to help push her car out of the snowbank she had plowed in to. They call themselves a taphouse yet on this particular night the beer was 100% flat and over the acceptable temperature. There’s plenty of competition in the area so we’ll go elsewhere next time through the area. They charge a "convenience" fee to use a credit card. I know this is a popular trend these days, but those costs should either be baked into the prices or you offer a cash discount. I have decided I will not frequent the places that...
