We stayed at the Brentwood Inn for two nights back in early May 2021. It’s not much to look at from the street, and with the two star rating we were a little worried, but the price was right so we gave them a shot and I’m really glad we did. First let me say, this is NOT a two star hotel, it’s more like a 4 star. When I arrived at the front desk I was greeted with a friendly smile and welcomed by Matthew. I interacted with him a few times during our stay and he was always so helpful, very personable, genuine and you could tell he liked his job. He alone made our stay and deserves a raise! The check in process was quick and the directions to our room were easy. When we got to our room, I was surprised at how nice it was. It had a large king bed, wonderful all cotton sheets and a bedspread that looked newer and didn’t have a single stain which is rare for a budget friendly hotel. The bathroom and floors were well cleaned and stocked which as extra important to us with all thats been going on. The cleaning staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. We had our two small chihuahuas with us, so it was great to be able to walk the short distance down the hallway to get to the door that leads out into an enclosed courtyard. The courtyard was well maintained and fully fenced so I could relax and not worry about my pups while they sniffed around and did their business. Our sleep that night was so wonderful. It was quiet, the blackout curtains (once I found them LOL) did their job and the mattress was awesome. Our stay up to that point had been 5 stars so we decided to stay for another night and thankfully they were able to accommodate us. All I had to do was pay for the second night when I went to the front desk that morning to get our free breakfast. Their breakfast was decent, although with Covid, the kitchen/breakfast area was closed and the front desk got our breakfast sandwiches, fruit and coffee for us. I give her alot of credit for what she does every mornN! Only 1 front desk clerk Kimberly was always nice and always willing to work wit the customers. And there was 1 rude front desk clerk Dalia who seemed to always wanna argue wit the customer....she did that during that time. And a recent stay n January of 2018, we stayed der again for 2 weeks....i had Kimberly put my name on the room wit my husband when i first bookD da room...tried to get a key from this Dalia and she would not give me a key indicating my name wasnt on the room list. Soo for that she didnt give me a key..later i asked Kimberly, she checkD da system and told me my name was on da room list wit my husband! This lady Dalia is giving this nice hotel a bad name and reputation by her rude and unprofessional attitude! And from what i have heard customers are always complaining about Dalia. Her and another gal named Mary, to my understanding Mary is no longer there! Heard she got FIRED!! Because of Dalia we had to move out of there! She needs to be replace by someone like Kimberly who has a whole kinded heart attitude. Wish Haun, the top owner of the hotel was there in January! Dalia is very rude, unprofessional and has very poor customer service! Until this bad apple (Dalia) is out of there i will give my 5 star....and sorry to say this is a true story! Read moreWe enjoyed our stay there. The location was perfect for our stay, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Is an older hotel, and could use some renovations but it is a nice well kept place. The breakfast was very nice. The one thing I will say is that it's the first hotel that we have ever stayed in that was so quiet, we truly enjoyed and rested very well in the comfy bed. We had hoped that there was a smart TV to watch apps. One suggestion, there is a lady there Christina, very rude and short with customers! I had called prior asking about a downstairs room as I am disabled, and she was rude with her response and told me she couldn't accommodate me. I also asked about a room near the pool, which isn't important but she also told me no. My Dr appointment was done early, so we decided to take a chance and see if we could check in early, and there was a very nice lady there Riley, she was so professional and we asked about checking in early, and she took the time to check and was able to check us in a little early, and she gave me a room downstairs and near the pool. I understand there's policies, but it's not what you say it how you talk to customers, I work in customer service, so I know how to talk to people. Christina was short and very rude and shouldn't be at your front desk. Just my opinion. Riley was very professional and nice. We will definitely stay again at upir location and definitely...
