Jersey Mikes has always been a superior product, but I found a new reason to love it even more. NO! I found two new reasons to love it more …
We were on a road trip from Florida to Massachusetts, and happened to be in the area during the lunch hour. The restaurant was right off the highway and easy to get to. We whipped in and ordered a regular sub club on white. My wife and I usually split a meal, and the regular was an almost perfect size. I say almost because it was so large my wife couldn’t finish her half. Fear not! I rescued the last bite, but it was almost too much for me, as well.
Now, what did I discover that I loved so much? First, a young woman with a beautiful, shy smile was preparing our sandwich. She said her name was Tequila. Second, we discovered pepper relish. Tangy, with a suggestion of a minor heat. We were intrigued, but wasn’t certain it would pair well with our club. Tequila saw us wavering and smiled, “why don’t you get it on the side?” Brilliant!
We sat and divided our sub and tasted the relish.
Oh. Myyyy.
I relished that tangy flavor and immediately spread it on my sandwich.
And I promise we will return. I hope to see Tequila’s friendly smile when we return. I don’t mean to disregard the rest of the team on the line, as building the perfect sub is a team effort, and they all deserve recognition. But, Trquila’s smile was — precious — and warmed this grandfather’s...

The worker lied to my face and told me he used tongs, not realizing I was watching the entire time. The only reason I had to be there in the first place was because they got the online order wrong. I told them they could put the sandwich in the trash because it was unsanitary. I asked for a refund and was informed they could not give me a refund at the store because it was an online order. I sent an email explaining what happened to the company and I was told it would have to be handled on the local level so they were going to send a copy of my email to the owner of that store. I had 2 additional subs at home that we were concerned about consuming because they were also made with cooked meat. We ended up without dinner, or a refund, or an apology. It's been almost a week, and we've heard nothing from the owner. Great place to go if you like to play Russian Roulette with food poisoning. Nice business practice....
Read moreDo not go to this restaurant. I had 3 bad experiences. The first one was when they put too much mayonnaise on my sandwich. I asked for the worker to remove some of the mayonnaise, and she used her finger. She was wearing a glove but it repulsed me.
The second was when I ordered two hot subs. Got both of the subs home, and there was barely any meat in the sandwiches.
The last was I ordered a cold cut sub. The worker was extremely skimpy with the toppings. Got the sandwich home, and it was tasteless, and the bread was extremely hard. I'm sure the worker knew the bread was hard when he was making my sandwich.
