UPDATE I have been sent documentation that shows that the room I stayed in did not have bedbugs. I must be clear about that. However, customer service was abysmal and I would still want others to be aware of my experience.
After staying at this hotel I was concerned about possible bedbug bites. When I called to tell the manager, the front desk representative immediately blamed me for not saying anything before, and when I attempted to explain myself said "So?" and proceeded to hang up on me. I tried to call a few more times only to be hung up on and then have my number blocked. I then called Wyndham customer care who said they would reach out to the owner but couldn't promise anything more than that. I called the hotel again from a different number and spoke with Samir Naik, the manager/owner, who flippantly interrupted me while I tried to explain my situation. He seemed to be quick to make assumptions about my intentions and didn't give me the benefit of the doubt or even the respect/tact not to treat me like a con woman or an idiot. Ultimately he said they would be contacting an exterminator and only re-compensating me for my stay if the exterminator proved the presence of bedbugs within the next three to five days. I will acknowledge that this seems like a reasonable procedure and that the manager did follow up as requested. However, the rude treatment was inexcusable. As a manager, I would expect that treating your customers with respect and graciousness is a baseline expectation. There was absolutely no need for this experience to be so combative. This incident has taught me to avoid Days Inn hotels going forward and to advise friends and family to...
Read moreThis property (and the room that I stayed in) was clean, beautiful, and appeared to be well maintained. Mine was "right sized"; enough room to walk around in. Within it was a very comfortable king size bed, lounge chair with footstool, office type desk with chair, HDTV, mini-fridge, microwave, and a small coffee maker with all of the necessary supplies (including tea). The bathroom was in a separate area. Also, the room had hardwood floors (no carpet), the table lamps have a USB charging port, there are cubby holes for your clothes instead of drawers, and the coffee maker was on a tray that took up a lot space on the office type desk. And it was on the 2nd floor with a window that overlooked the pool. All rooms have to be entered in from the outside. IMHO, this is good because there are street people in the vicinity. Also the Wi-Fi reception was excellent, but it only worked with my tablet and not with my phone. The "light" breakfast was almost a full meal (but without the protein) : coffee, juice, yogurt, milk, dry cereal, various bread products, waffle maker, individual packets of oatmeal, apples, packets of condiments (cream cheese, peanut butter, AND NUTELLA®). For the waffles there was canned whipped topping, powered sugar, strawberry preserves, and syrup. Finally when I went to check out, there was no one at the front desk. Someone in the lobby told me to put the room key in a basket that was on the countertop. And I never did receive an itemized bill. Despite this annoyance I would still highly...
Read moreBUGS BUGS BUGS!!!!!!! I don’t know if they were bed bugs or fleas. When we went to our original room I sat down at the desk & there were immediately 3 tiny black bugs the size of poppyseeds on my arm, then I saw some on my shirt. The desk clerk said that that was their best room & they don’t have bugs. He went to check & came back said there were no bugs but he’d put us in another room & if there were bugs on me I probably brought them with me whether from home, the last hotel or simply walking outside. We went to the new room. It was 11 at night. The rate was non refundable. Every morning I woke up with itchy red bites all over my feet & ankles. Where did they come from? We were stuck because it was non refundable. My son will be living in Fayetteville for a minimum of 2 more years, we come to visit a couple times a year, not only will I not stay at this hotel I will never stay at another Days Inn. I just can’t believe that Wyndham allows this. If it’s not bed bugs & it’s fleas then do something about the dog policy to make sure they are flea free. Because now my pet has to board for extra time at $30 a day to make sure all of our clothes get cleaned & there’s no trace of these tiny black bugs in my home. I’m now traumatized, looking for these bugs everywhere I go, the itching hasn’t stopped, I’m paranoid that there’s bugs on me & I brought them home. This place needs to...
