The food here is pretty good, but the other problems outweigh that good food. For example, it is almost always full! I live not too far away and have been by four times this week, ranging from 0900-1000 and 1700-2200, and every booth is ALWAYS packed! Maybe they should take reservations. I mean, I can get into Outback Steakhouse faster than this place!
Once in, the place is fairly clean, but we've had dirty dishes on more than one occasion. They replaced the dishes and food promptly, but still, how hard is it to clean a plate or glass?
The time to get the food varies. Once or twice we had it quickly, and the other times it was quite the wait, possibly why they're always packed. Can't get people out if they've not eaten, right?
The employees are great, despite the slowness of the place. They're friendly, they smile, and they keep an eye on your drinks. This is where the place shines, really.
Overall I would not recommend this place to a friend unless they didn't mind waiting for a seat. Slow and always packed seems to be the theme here, and I have given up on ever eating here again. I don't have hours to waste standing in line, even if the people who work there are good, friendly people serving good food.
UPDATE
I gave in and gave them one last chance. Due to this, I am changing my rating to one star. We arrived and the floor was filthy, dirty dishes lined the booths and counter, the tables were not wiped, and the service was abysmal.
18:24 - Arrived and seated 18:42 - Finally greeted! (18min later, 18min total) 18:48 - Received one drink (6min later, 24min total) 18:56 - Received half of food, uncooked bacon (8min later, 32min total) 17:03 - Received the other drink (7min later, 39min total) 17:09 - Received remaining food (6min later, 45min total)
Not once were we checked on. The waitress was heard complaining about the nastiness of the place, that she was pregnant and something about forty dishes in the back. This...
Read moreBeen going to this location for a couple of years and is by far the best Waffle House location I’ve ever been to or ate at. Let’s start with staff, absolutely amazing. Very polite and don’t mind to repeat a couple things (because it’s a loud kitchen, kinda hard to hear sometimes) and are always working hard to get the food to its amazing Waffle House quality. The store itself is the cleanest Waffle House I’ve ever been in too, dining room area is closed at this time but is really well kept when busy also. And tonight was just a good experience overall with politeness and my order got ready fast, but here’s the thing, I wanted bacon on my hash browns but I seems the price went up for that so I didn’t get the bacon cuz I couldn’t really afford the $3 extra it. And I told them that after they told me my total because I didn’t know off the top of my head the price for it so I just went ahead and said to put bacon in it. Well when I realized I couldn’t afford it (even after the employee explained the prices to me, somewhere along the line I got confused, but the employee, wish I knew her name to give her her credit, was completely polite about removing the bacon from my hash brows so they would be regular priced, so I paid regular price and they still gave me the bacon. Which I don’t really know if it was because they already cooked it that way or if they were just being nice, but I’ll take it as they were being nice . So with saying all of that, I love this location and it’s employees. 5/5 stars...

Waffle house's human-experience and iconic atmosphere just as it should be! It's what this place is ALL about for me.
Ordered a swath through their posted (placemat menu) as well as their 'Secret?' Staff pricing menu (ask for it). The latter where you'll find how extensive their actual offerings are, beyond the highly curated, customer facing daily menu.
Food came fast and confirmed what I already knew from past visits.
Texas toast, shaved cheesesteak griller. Buttery hot crispy and gone in a few glorious bites. Hits all of the requisite spots. Yum!
Cup of chili. Excellent and better than any canned version.
Cheese grits. As always if you love grits here ya go. For me I can do without. A bit dry but I added butter. Cheese by ways of a processed slice laid atop as it should be at WH.
Pork chops. Really just a low grade thin chop, quick grilled with salt and pepper. That's exactly what it taste like. Comforting with the grits but far from being tasty.
T-bone steak. A really tough, low grade cut prepared same as porkchop. Not recommended.
The bill was under $30 all-in. Really? Can WH make any profit? Not likely.
