LOCATION OWNER : Patera Woji
Let me start this off by saying I'm no Karen. I rarely write negative reviews unless a place truly deserves it.
This hotel is absolutely terrible, unsafe, filthy, and I would advise against staying here at all costs. In fact, I would rather stay at a meth lab than stay here ever again. And I might as well have done that instead considering all the creepy stalkers and the several drug deals I witnessed in the parking lot. At this point they would definitely benefit from having a police officer do patrols to keep everyone safe. Probably too expensive for them though considering their cheapness, so who cares about the safety of their paying customer.
Anyway, the owner and his lakeys were super rude, inflexible, arrogant, loved mansplaining to me, and continued to interrupt by talking over me the entire time. I couldn't get a single word in. I should mention that I'm 4''3, disabled, and a black woman. I always do my best to always be kind and spread joy. At least those who deserve it. However, I may be long but I will not hesitate to stand up for myself in situations like this, and so I did just that. They got loud, and provoked me to lose my temper so got loud in return.
As for the breakfast, the tiny bit I did have a chance to taste was just mediocre and once again, completely overcharged. Not to mention, theere were also not enough towels in the hotel room, and the walls were so disgustingly filthy that it seriously looked as though someone had been murdered in our room. Is wiping down walls no longer an requirement when cleaning rooms now? So sanitary!
We had to call a Lyft Ride to leave and chose their wait and save option in order to save more money on the ride. According to Lyft, we had 45 minutes before we would be assigned someone to drive us. So we went down to this hotels breakfast area to have some food while we waited. Next thing I know, the lift is arriving extremely early and we didn't have time to eat. I despise wasting food and I was hungry too), so I let the owner know that I need something to carry my food in since I had so much to eat. Now for whatever reason, they have a charge for if you try to take the food out of the dining room, which is unlike any other hotel I have ever been to in my entire 31 years of life. While annoying and a blatant money grab, sure that's fine I guess. They must have to stay afloat somehow, right? So I was willing to pay their stupid exorbitant fee in order to take the food with me.
So anuway, I LEFT my food behind in the dining room to go get my things, yet they hurriedly attempted a $20 charge before I even reached the door to go to get my wallet. ALL of my belongings were in my room, and I told them in advance that I was coming back with the card as that's the the only option. But they refused to give me even 5 minutes to get it so I could pay. And just to reiterate, I never even actually removed my food from the dining room. I'm not a thief, despite being unjustly treated as one by then. So incredibly insulting.
Despite this,. after I left they continued to give my cousin a hard time about the food charge. All she did was ask why they were even charging for food that should have been included in the room fees already that I paid (a comment they responded snarkily to as welm). All this over $20 to take the food with us? Really? And trust me, the food was nowhere near worth that much. Absolute nonsense company and even worse managenment. Clearly the owner must be struggling, as this is clearly nothing more than a money hungry attempt to squeeze already paying customers out of even more money.

Read moreI stayed at this hotel 2 times about a week apart. I was very happy with the rooms for the price, and especially how clean it was. Many times when you find a low price online for a hotel, you go in and find bathrooms have mildew or the carpets are filthy, etc. This did not happen at this place. They do need to fix one of the railings for going to the second floor as it is very loose and for those of us who have knee problems....those railings are very important. The beds were very comfortable (king beds). I found the morning shift people to be very nice, but the night shift had some problems both times. I noticed it with people in front of me that they were snippy with and the second time I stayed, I dealt with a lot of attitude as well. I called to ask about the possibility of staying on the first floor (those darn knees again) and had a bit of attitude from them as they proceeded to inform me that everything is an upgrade and costs $10 extra (i.e. first floor rooms, changing from a king to 2 doubles...umm, this is an upgrade?, etc). I said never mind and kept on with what I was doing for the day. When I went to check in, I was told it was a double room and received a lot of attitude because I did not have a print out of an email about my reservation (which I made while being on the road! instead of at home at my computer and printer). I went into my email on my phone and showed them I had a king reservation, but by that time they had been whispering back and forth and apparently had decided to give it to me so they barely even glanced at the phone and did not look at the email I had up. I guess it was because I had changed my phone number to my cell number that they asked every single thing about my number, address, etc. which I had no problem with, but the attitude with that was even bad. I did plan to stay at this place each visit back to Fayetteville because of their good hot breakfast and nice clean rooms, but the night shift women have me re-thinking it. My first stay there, I had even seen the woman having an attitude with a man checking in who stated that he and his wife stay there every time they come to town because they like the hotel. I just don't understand how you can show such bad customer service to so many who are checking in during the evenings. My second stay was going to be 2 nights, but after calling with my question and having problems with them, I chose to set the next night up at another hotel for that second night. I may give this one a chance when I come back again, but only to see if there is any change in attitude because the hotel itself I did like but I will not continue to put up with bad service...
Read moreOur stay was not good. I traveled with my husband, two kids (11 and 13), and our dog, because they're a dog friendly place. Let me say first off that the girl behind the desk was friendly, efficient, and professional, which was great as we got in late and were all tired. But then we went to the room- 152. The room. Dear Lord. Upon opening the door, we were hit with a horrible smell- like pet urine, cigarette smoke, and mildew all mixed together. I got the impression that housekeeping had cleaned, as none of the visible surfaces seemed unclean, but the room generally felt grimy. I thought about going back to the desk but I didn't, and I should have- but I was exhausted and it was late and we had been driving all day. And we still had to eat- so while we were out, I grabbed some febreeze and lysol and air fresheners. I sprayed the beds, and we febreezed the carpets and curtains. I think it used to be a smoking room turned nonsmoking, but without removing the carpet. I think maybe the carpet had been cleaned at some point during the transition to "non-smoking", but as a non-smoker who has asthma, I can always detect stale cigarette smoke. The smell was so strong, even after our attempts at improvement, that my daughter and I rested with our masks on all night. I did not sleep well at all, which is why I say "rested"; the beds and sheets appeared clean and I had sprayed them, but in the process of doing that, I noticed the mattress covers- which were stained and disgusting. I am 100% positive at least one of those stains was old blood- and maybe the cover was washed, but at that point, it just needed to be tossed and replaced. It was gross, so I didn't sleep under the covers and slept fully clothed. In the morning, when my husband attempted to take a shower, the shower handle came off in his hand- so none of us got a shower and we had another day of travel ahead. It was so disappointing- Easily the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in, and this with me almost being killed by a collapsing bathroom ceiling at a hotel in NJ some years ago. That room flooded and the ceiling collapsed and cracked the toilet tank in half, just as I was going to sit down- and this room was still worse.
Location was ok- a little sketchy, but as long as you don't venture out alone at night it's fine. It was quiet, but then it's bordered by an old cemetery, so it probably should be, lol.
As I said, I didn't go back to the desk and I should have, because I was literally feeling sick all night and my daughter was, too- our asthma is pretty sensitive....
