Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I entered this location about 10:50 PM on January 3, 2019 with my roommate for some food. As soon as we entered, we heard "Who the f* comes in this late??!" and I asked if they were still open, to which an employee, Blake, replied that they were. For clarification, Blake was not the one who said the quote as we entered. He kindly brought us up to the cash register where we took a minute or two to decide what we wanted, at which time another employee came up and whispered to Blake that he should tell us to use the drive through, which, to my understanding is open until 1 am. Not sure what the difference was, us ordering inside or ordering at the window, but it was obvious the employee was not satisfied with our being there. Blake still kindly served us and promptly gave us our to-go order. He even apologized to us for having to hear what we heard, which was very sweet of him. We felt VERY unwelcome by the staff in the kitchen, who made it no secret that we were annoying and not wanted, but we have the highest praises for Blake for being professional and kind in light of everything. Honestly 3 might be a little high but I'll round up. Fair points for style and taste in terms of seasoning and overall the experience of the bites were ok, pretty good I'd say. Wings weren't soggy, that's always nice. Loss points. I went at about 1pm and it should be busy, it wasn't. 3 cars in line. To cut short a long winded argument...too slow, food tasted lukewarm by the time I got home just 1.2 miles away and felt like a heat lamp situation anyway. Chicken strips were a little too chewy, wings were well cooked, maybe perfect when they were fresher. I had Korean BBQ wings and the house sauce for dipping the strips. Both good flavors, enjoyed the tangy qualities. The fries were meh. The coke from the fountain was the star of the show...yes McDonald's quality. I think this chain has potential, they've developed a lot of flavors for fast food with the seasoning and sauces list, which will take me time to get to know. The food was just...good. Service was extremely fast, but because of that speed the order was slightly incorrect. They rushed (I MEAN...R.U.S.H.E.D!!) us through the line even though we were literally the only patrons inside. I wish they had explained the options to my young nephews a bit better, as well. As 1st time visitors they had no clue what they wanted to order and the cashier didn't offer much in the way of guidance. And maybe ask if the patron what's their chicken tossed, and without breading, as that's what was assumed, but didn't happen and my order in particular would have been leaps-n-bounds better if the chicken had been tossed with the sauce and had no breading. The chicken was hot enough, but the sauces were cold. And the fried pickles were very salty, moreso than normal. The place was clean and the staff was friendly, but I don't like seeing staff on their phones in the dining room particularly, but that's just my personal taste.
