The owner, Mr. Patel, is dishonest. After placing an order online in efforts to order 4 subs, I was only able to order 2 which I paid for online. Spoke to an employee on the phone regarding the dilemma and she advised me we could address it when I arrived. Upon arrival, another employee explained the BOGO Footlong advertisement and advised me to place a 2nd online order. I understood and attempted to place the order. The online app was experiencing issues and would not allow me to complete my order/payment. Mr. Patel was summoned by his employee to assist and provided me a # to call regarding the matter. After being on hold over 15 minutes, after the last 15-20 minutes of attempting to place the 2nd online order, a representative stated my acct was locked. She unlocked the acct but stated I would have to wait an hour before using the acct. I informed Mr. Patel I could no longer wait and would like a refund--mind you I never received any sandwiches at all--only 2 cups for drinks. Mr. Patel asked if I was sure and stated the sandwiches were already made. I reiterated to Mr. Patel I needed 4 sandwiches versus the 2 to ensure everyone ate. He stated ok but informed me only corporate could refund online payments. Confused, I asked him was he sure. He restated the same thing regarding corporate. I asked him for a # to call and he stated it was the same #. I called countless times. Either no answer or extensive holds. When I did finally reach someone, I was told that was not the # to call for a refund. I researched corporate online, found a #, and learned I needed to call back the next day as they were closed. The next day after a few attempts, both the operator and 2 reps in Customer Care stated Mr. Patel knew he was required to refund the $ to me as his store was paid immediately once my payment was confirmed with the online order. The rep contacted the actual store as well as Mr. Patel directly on his cell while I stood inside the store and was on the other line, and informed him of his obligation of repayment, and directed him to contact me. Mr. Patel acknowledged and stated he would contact me immediately. Mr. Patel has yet to contact me however has my $ and the food I never received. Sad I had to file 3 complaints against him, open a fraud investigation with my bank, and expose Mr. Patel's dishonest tactics to the world. Why Mr. Patel thinks I am going to allow this unjust, discourteous behavior is beyond me. The sad part of all this is with this review, I see I am now in a long line of dissatisfied patrons. Sad, Mr. Patel has and continues to poorly represent Subway. Recommend corporate have a meeting with Mr. Patel in efforts to remind him he is not representative of only himself-Subway is suffering from his lack of integrity, professionalism, and morals. Too simple to refund my $. Not sure why Mr. Patel is making this difficult and telling me and corporate two different things. Guess we'll eventually get to the bottom of this because I plan to call corporate daily until this...
Read moretl:dr, they won't fully honor a coupon and will limit what you can apply it to further than the coupon limits itself. They also skimp when making Subway Series sandwiches, not honoring when the menu says 2x meat or cheese.
I wouldn't normally even bother reviewing a Subway, quite frankly my expectations are subterranean and the only reason I ever go is if i forgot my lunch and have a coupon. However, they're so incredibly cheap here I have to say something about it.
The aforementioned coupon will usually list sandwiches for which it will not apply. It's a short list, usually consisting of the most exorbitant selections, but most of the Subway Series sandwiches are applicable. I triple checked the coupon before ordering my sandwich, the #6(the Boss). However, the server made it pretty clear that this particular restaurant was not allowing coupons for ANY of the Subway Series sandwiches, regardless of the list on the coupon.
Now, I didn't try to argue or correct the server, obviously this is a managerial issue and I'm not the kinda guy to demand to see the manager over whether I get one mediocre sandwich or the other mediocre sandwich, so I immediately let it go and just got a regular meatball sub. That said, I still feel like I should atleast try to let yall know they're trying to cut corners and cheap out even further than a normal Subway does naturally. Frankly, I really don't wanna know where else they might be cheaping out, sanitarily or food safety wise...
It should also be mentioned they've been cheaping out even before this incident. I've come here a couple times before, and both times(when they did accept the coupon), I noticed they didn't give me double meat or cheese when the menu said it was a part of the sandwich. Again, I didn't bring it up, especially because I was getting these around $6-$7. If you're gonna be paying the whole $12-$15, however, yeah it...
