There was a half an hour wait, no big deal. We got seated. Sat outside, it’s august. It was busy when we got there but we had been there through the rush and it had calmed down about halfway through our visit. We were there a total of 2.5 hours all together, had to ask multiple times for water refills and things we had already ordered. Our waiter would be no where to be found for long periods of time, to the point other wait staff was coming up asking us if we needed something because they could see us looking around for him. We had been pretty patient and understanding throughout considering. We ordered a starter because my friend has blood sugar issues and needed something to keep her levels controlled while waiting for her meal, stater didn’t come out until 10 minutes before our meal (so 1.5 hrs in) and she was getting lightheaded. There were meal items missing that we to remind them that we ordered, eventually telling them they don’t need to bring it out because we didn’t want to wait for it. Then we were getting impatient (also coming from out of town and had a 3 hr road trip to drive back home). At the end of our meal management came out to talk to us and said our waiter sensed some “unhappiness”, we explained how our experience had been and his response was that the kitchen had been busy, did not offer any type of compensation, etc. I had to ASK for them just to comp our drinks and they were even hesitant to do that. I understand if its busy etc, but this was excessive. The food is okay but for our experience we unfortunately will not be back. No one plans to go out to eat and it be an almost...
Read moreI was driving around Fayetteville looking for a place to eat breakfast. I spotted this joint and gave it the ol' googling. It had great reviews, female run, farm to table, craft beer options and LGBQT friendly.
The place was busy and after eating I can understand why. The place is a little house converted into a restaurant. I didn't spend too much time on the inside since it was a sunny and warm morning and there were open tables on the deck.
Our waitress was pleasant and came out to greet us quickly. I started my morning with a local beer but after seeing the bloody Mary I wish I would have gone with that. Though I should say that Arkansas has some great beers if you are a fan of traditional ales and lagers. The menu was small but not at all underwhelming. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin with swiss, caramalized onions, sausage and hollandaise sauce. I think with all the additions it ended up being a $6 sandwich. I also ordered a garden salad with a side of blue cheese.
The food was so good! I wish I could have stayed in town longer to try everything! The staff couldn't have been nicer and it was a perfect morning to enjoy the outdoors and eat.
The only thing I would have changed besides the Bloody Mary (which I ordered later), would have been the salad. It was good and the greens looked so fresh! But at $5 I could have picked collard greens at a lesser price.
Definitely check this place out if you are visiting. It has a warm atmosphere and...
Read moreThe sweet potato pancakes are amazing but their overall system is disorganized and customer service needs work.
First, the wait time system and duration were unpleasant for my seat. I had to wait thirty minutes for a seat (that happens). The problem with waiting is that there was no designated waiting area. The weather allowed customers to use the extensive patio; however, customers were still in the way of the waiting staff.
Second, customer service was awful. I had a fairly big order and had to wait about thirty for my meal (by itself no big deal). However, most of my food was cold. Some of what I ordered was incorrect. When I tried to address this to the waiter he argued with me saying I did order that item. I remember in particular pointing to the item that i wanted while stating what I wanted. He did offer to take it back, but I was so hungry I just ate what was given to me.
While the waiter did try to correct the issue by comping some of our orders he ended up charging us for the two coffees that I all ready had ordered in the bar. (The bottomless coffees are six dollars each). With everything that had occurred I felt like the wait staff was too apathetic to address any more issues that I would have raised so I just paid the bill and left.
The food and decor of the restaurant is amazing, but hopefully my review will illustrate that their system is so disorganized that more people will be leery of going here...
