This Wendy’s is basically running a social experiment: How long will people sit in their cars before giving up on life (and their Frosty)? Spoiler: 45 minutes.
I ordered online at 6:30 pm like a responsible adult. Showed up at 6:40, only two cars ahead of me. Easy, right? Wrong. They handed me my Frosty immediately (ah yes, the perfect appetizer — a cup of chocolate soup by the time food arrives) and told me to pull up and wait. Apparently, everyone else got the same treatment, so the parking lot turned into a sad little tailgate party where the theme was regret.
By the time my food arrived at 7:20 pm, I had the world’s saddest chocolate milk instead of a Frosty, and of course, the bag was missing the sauces and the very special spoon that apparently justifies this culinary robbery for the overpriced $10 “Wednesday” meal (which, let’s be honest, is just nuggets, fries, and a now-defrosted Frosty 🙃). Had to flag someone down like I was hailing a cab just to get the basics. Ridiculous. It should not take 45 minutes to an hour to get “fast” food — especially a pick-up order that was placed in advance.
Shoutout to the polite young lady who brought my food out. She was sweet, but let’s be honest — if you’re working here, you deserve hazard pay and probably a medal. Clearly, she’s not the problem here, so I didn’t take my irritation out on her. I’m frustrated, not a heartless monster.
Bottom line: unless you enjoy melted Frosties, missing sauces, and the thrill of wondering if your food will ever arrive, maybe skip...
Read moreWorst Wendy's experience ever. I stopped here after a 4 hour class tonight. It was a little after 8. The entrance stinks, the bathroom was nasty, and the customer view behind the counter was dirty. A woman with gold teeth wearing a white shirt approached the register and said, "yeah". I gave her my order. A 4 for 4, doublestack with sweet and sour sauce. She didn't punch it in, she yelled to the back for someone to make it. I didn't get a receipt with my change. The guy brought the sandwich up and she sat it straight on the countertop. I saw her scoop fries, so I thought I was waiting on nuggets. Then she dumped the nuggets and I was pleased to get fresh nuggets. But she said the fries wasn't even warm and dropped fries. So now I'm waiting on fries. My burger is still sitting on the counter... She asks for my sauce choice again. She finally gets a bag for my sandwich, sauce, and nuggets. She tells the lady cleaning the chilli pit to put my fries in when the come up. Fries finally come up and some guy jumps over there in front of the nice lady that was cleaning. She tells him I need my fries first. He fixes the fries. I'm finally in my car and the fries I got was a mix of old and new fries. The meat on my sandwich was old and dried out. I was so upset. I didn't know what to do. I know I didn't want to go back in there for NOTHING. I'll never eat there at...
Read moreToday at about 3:07p.m., I pulled in the drive thru line was now at the road with about 6 cars in front of me, sat in that spot for about 10 minutes before the line started to move. Cashier would take 2 cars at a time, then another 7-8 minute wait before moving. When I get to area to place order, I'm greeted with, sorry for the wait, we are accepting cash only, have one register working, we have customers in the lobby as well ordering. Well, I placed my order, now I've been in line for 30 minutes. As I get to the window, I see 2 people in the building, a lady at the grill or preparing food and the lady walking from the window to the counter between customers. When I pull off with my order, it's 3:43. I commute to my job, as I open my bag the fries were dumped into the bag, and the burger was missing the meat, so a bun with condiments, lettuce tomato , onion but no meat. And the district manager Mrs. M. McNeill was aware of the short staffing, poor functioning equipment but did not allow the staff to at least close the loI know because I asked who was the manager and why weren't she there? I was told she had left earlier, she should have closed the lobby before she left knowing the condition of her staffing and equipment. I have kudos for the staff that had to work under those conditions but management and proprietor no respect for you and shame on...
