Rodney Kennedy (the general manager) threatens lawyers on employees. He has a paper which is ILLEGAL he makes employees sign saying if they leave he will cut their pay to $7.25 from $11.50. Rodney is always making comments like “it’s because I’m black isn’t it” in front of customers and employees as a “joke” which is absolutely wrong in a business setting none the less. No one cares about your race Rodney and it’s inappropriate! He makes up lies and treats employees like garbage. He cuts hours constantly. The manager Vinny along with most the other staff are rude and bully other employees. Rodney and this store need investigated for sure. I reported him to corporate and police and plan to go to labor board about cutting people pay. Cops had to get called as he REFUSED to give my teenage (whom he degraded multiple times) his paycheck today. He also tried to refuse copies of papers in his file which is also ILLEGAL. Rodney says it’s no bullying and no drama work place, lol….he is the bully and drama. Im so sad this is how my teen was treated for his first ever job. Good job Dairy Queen for having people like Rodney and Vinny and others work for you. I hope you all are ashamed, no one deserves that treatment at all place of work and then no one has even reached out (owner especially) even after this was reported to corporate, but at least there is a report with the police. Ps: to call a parent of a teen employee to say rude things during their work hours is also completely unnecessary….so please do your job dairy queen and investigate what’s going on. Read moreThey really serve the ice cream upside down, but this happened! Hahaha. The server was really enthusiastic to show me and the blizzard first landed on my shoes, then on the floor. It was quite a funny scene to see the shocked expression on his face. I got a replacement in the end.
Some other observations during my visit on Friday at 6.15pm:
the blizzard took about 10-15 mins to be served
after the accident where the blizzard dropped on my shoes and floor, the server didn't seem to inform any of the cleaning staff to clean up the mess. I took the cup off the floor but couldn't clean up the rest for them so we had to wait for the cleaner who came later.
my replacement blizzard took another 10-15 mins before it was served. My friend finished her blizzard before mine came because of all the wait.
