Listen, when it comes to high-class establishments, I'm the most knowledgable, but this place had me baffled! Trisha McGovern here for another restaurant review. Being new to the area, this was our first visit to Wendy's; surely named after the head chef's daughter, or wife, or mistress or something. Looking to entertain our new neighbors, the Bigbys, and having found a sitter for our twin four year olds Meat and Bessemer, we decided on this spot for our weekend night out. Right off the bat, the place gave me a bad taste in my mouth due to the tacky lighting that screamed "I'm very bright and obnoxious!" We continued to seat ourselves, which was a plus, because I wanted a booth and my husband Davenport wanted a table so it was win-win... the only saving grace of this "place." We sat at the table for nearly four hours and no one acknowledged us, even after persistent screaming by Winslow, who apparently has a nasty, nasty temper. We left without eating when the place closed, but everything smelled good and the other customers seemed to be enjoying their experiences... I just don't appreciate being blatantly ignored by the staff. Am willing to try again, but not for awhile; just have to get the bad taste out of my mouth first. ...
Read moreAs a former Wendy’s employee I was horrified by the experience at this Wendy’s. Dave Thomas must be turning over in his grave.
When we entered this location there were no cashiers, only kiosks. No one greeted us, we were left to congregate at the front like cattle and place our own orders. The staff assembling the orders clearly had no visibility into the output from the kiosk because they asked “Is this for here or to go” after we’d chosen the dine in option.
Ours was not a complicated order: 4 sandwiches, 3 fries, 4 drinks. Yet the individuals assembling the food managed to get 3 of the 4 sandwiches wrong. When we explained this they asked “What did you order?” proving that once again they clearly had no easy way to interact with the kiosk. Frankly it was surprising—they had so little to do with that kiosk handling the order taking and they still screwed it up. To boot, the food was not hot and the fries had clearly been sitting out for hours. And there were only two other people in the place—the rest of the tables were empty!
In addition, the lack of seating sends the message that people are not really welcome to stay. The whole vibe was...
Read moreSince going vegetarian, after years of being vegan, I was super excited to try Wendy's again. I always loved their burgers and salads. I feel really bad for the staff at this location. They are always extremely busy! If you order inside, it can take a good 15 to 20 minutes before your food is ready. I work close by, so I end up spending so much time waiting for my food, that I barely have time to eat it. The drive through, takes precedent over the dining room, and I get that. If I want to have time to eat my lunch, I will use the drive through, because the service is much quicker. The food is consistent and good. However, the last couple of times that I have gotten french fries here, they have tasted really off. A very bad after-taste. Before, I had never noticed it. The dining room is always clean and the staff are all very friendly. Again, I feel bad for them though. They work live slave horses trying to get each and every order out. This location is very busy, and corporate should really do more to support the staff here, knowing how busy this...
