I refrain from putting bad reviews unless it's truly deserved. The only reason why I gave the extra star is because of the niceness from the girl on the phone when I called back, and the guy that delivered the food. Unfortunately, i don't really think they care about keeping customers. I'm stuck at a desk at a dealership two doors down from them on a Saturday, and can't leave to go get anything for lunch. So, i decided to order a delivery. It was getting close to the end of my shift. (Two hours before) So I decided on getting something small from somewhere close. My order was a Coney dog, fries and a milkshake. Over an hour later, no food still. Mind you they are not even a block from me. So, I call and the girl says yeah, it's ready. I say well im supposed to be getting it delivered here. I can't leave That's why i ordered a delivery. She says well, i can bring it down there. I tell her well now that it'ss been sitting there, I don't want it cold. So unless you can get me a new one within the next 20 min, I really don't want it. She's says ok I'm sorry. We'll make a new one and bring it down. Anyone that has worked in the food industry knows what microwaved food looks like , and that's exactly what they gave me. I opened my fries, and steam started rolling out. The fries we're soggy and rubbery. My hot dog was microwave singed and the bun was soggy. I will never go here again. I despise dishonest owners, and I hope they lose business as a result. I am a repeat customer to classic coney in hazel park, and sarokis of royal oak. Their food is amazing and so are there workers and owners. If they mess something up they wouldn't take the cheap way out and microwave my food. They'd make me a new one for free. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. You lost a customer that would've came back. I recommend...
Read moreWe use to frequent this restaurant every Sunday, because of the good food and service. Usually 8-12 family members after church. It was a great place when Alex was running the restaurant and even before that when he was just a Bus Boy. The food quality and service has gone down so much, that only my wife & I are still willing to come back a few times per year. Our latest experience was 7/30/2017, when I ordered (my usual) the "Alex's Omlette". I asked for Swiss cheese insead of American, I cut it open and showed my waitress that 90% of the omelette had no cheese. She insisted that they had put 2 slices inside "even if we couldn't see it." She asked if I wanted another slice of cheese, which I received on a side plate and had to eat unmelted cheese on my omlette for an extra $1. Now the omlette had plenty of meat and everything else in it, but without sufficiant cheese it was very dry. Even when I explained this to the cashier she basically told me that "that's the way it is". I wasn't trying to get something for nothing. I just don't think I should have paid for the cheese which they referred to on the receipt as "extra", but I refer to it as "still not enough". It is sad to say that just like our family members, this is a resturant that we use to go to. Good bye...
Read moreOverpriced Coney Island!! No way! $7.39 for two eggs and toast! Lol. $11.99 for 6 wings dings! I sat down long enough to drink a quarter cup of coffee and me my wife left. I just went home and made the chicken and eggs myself. What kinda scam are they trying to pull. You can buy a dozen of eggs for an average price of $3 and a 20-24 slices of bread for andaround $3 from Kroger. The can buy about 25 frozen wing dings in a bag from Kroger for $11.49. You can buy about 20 whole fresh wings( or 40 wing dings if you cut them) from walmart for $16. I'm also sure you also can buy the exact coney wings they make from the Eastern Market for way cheaper. The steaks are really tough.!! Just go buy a steak at the market for better quality! EVERYTHING on there menu is way overpriced!!! The point I'm trying to make here people is stop giving your hard earned money away to pay for these people Caddilac Escalades and GMC Yukons. Go to the market people and make your own food,...
