I ordered the number 11. A classic burrito meal... It was so good I was bragging to my husband about it. Ended up taking a bite and biting into something hard that threw my stomach in knots.. looked at it and it was a black round piece of something. We took it back and I politely asked for the manager. She came up and was just like "oh it's fine it's just a piece from the avacado because we make our own guac" I told her I just can't do it. It made me sick biting into something that shouldn't be in my food and she said she could either remake it or refund it. I gave her my tots (without her even Asking for them) and burrito and she was just so carefree about it. So my husband asked her if that happens often and she was just like well... We make our own guac so... And just totally left it to seem as is if this wasn't the first time nor will be the last that it will happen. My husband explained to her that my child could have choked on something like that and she was like yeah... What the hell?! Where is the quality control?? And where is the hair nets that she said they do not wear there... Extremely disgusting.... I don't want random inedible things in my food nor hair from workers. And I for damn sure don't want them touching my food without gloves on like the guy making food in the orange shirt was. If you like random inedible things in your food, employees making your food without gloves on, the possibility of hair in your food, and an insensitive, care free manager to "resolve" your issues than this is the place for you. As for me and my family we will never be back to this taco Time and will never go to another. This was our first time going too... And this experience just killed...
Read moreI usually love Taco Time, even though their food is more expensive than other fast food restaurants. It's worth spending the extra money to me because the food is fresh, prepared with high quality ingredients, superior to other fast food restaurant. But the last few times I've been to this location, my food was not so good. I oftentimes order the tostada salad and the last two I had from this location were not good. The lettuce was old and wilted, and didn't even cover the bowl. The tortilla bowls they used were cooked in oil that should've been changed days earlier and I couldn't even eat them (my dog wouldn't eat them either and he'll eat anything). The time before those two, they were out of pinto beans, which I found odd for a restaurant serving only Mexican food, as beans are a main staple for this type of quisine. I won't be eating at this location anytime in the near future, if ever again. Very disappointing and definitely not what I expect to receive from Taco Time. I do NOT recommend eating at this location. Spend your money...
Read moreThis is the first time I have been to Taco Time in Fife in many, many years. Maybe 15 years. Taco Time always touts how their food is so fresh and made in the restaurant. This location used pre-packaged hot sauce. It was definitely not made in house. And I could tell. It just wasn't as good as the hot sauce at the Bonney Lake location. I have seen Bonney Lake employees filling the small cups with freshly made hot sauce. C'mon Taco Time. You're better than this.
The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. However it just didn't taste as good as other locations. The tortilla in the Casita Burrito was tough. And they are very skimpy with the Casita Sauce, which is the signature part of that meal.
Through no fault of their own, the location feels sketchy. The city of Fife feels and looks run-down, as does this restaurant. It could use a good remodel inside, some pressure washing outside and some new paint.
I can whole heatedly recommend Taco Time NW, just Not the...
