Days Inn by Wyndham Fife — Hotel in Fife

We have stayed here in the past and not had a problem. However it is unfortunate that I must say it will be the last. We have had a very bad experience with the staff. We paid for the room over the website and charges are pending in our bank account until my husband checks out, however when my husband arrived they charge our account again and now we have double pending. They flat out refused to reverse the over charges and take care of the problem saying it will fall off when he checks out however $224.00 is not going to be available to us because it is being held by days inn. I spent 4 hours trying to resolve this problem and have been treat very poorly by the staff. I ask if a manager could call me. They told me that the mangers were off for the weekend. I had to call the cooperate office for days inn only to be told that all of the Hotels are privately owned. But they did call the fife days inn and a manager called me at about 9pm, only to be very rude and she would not reverse the charges saying she would write a letter to the bank " FOR WHAT I ASK HER. This has nothing to do with our bank. We have been over charged and nothing is being done about it. My husband is now short of funds because of their incompetence and unprofessional staff. No one will tell me who actually owns the hotel. I will be filing a compliant with the attorney general, and the better business bureau. It is my recommendation to avoid this Hotel...

The good: the room had a bed and a working shower. They attempted to clean the smoke stink from the room. Decent breakfast: boiled eggs, waffles, cereal, coffee, juice

The bad: We booked a nonsmoking king room with disability accommodations. We ended up with a smoking room. Front desk person was quick to blame the booking site for the change and repeatedly stated how it wasn't her fault. I found her behavior rude. Since I needed a shower seat and they had one on the sites picture, I wanted to verify if the plank of wood was the shower seat in the picture. She told me she really didnt know and she had no reason to go in the rooms to find out. (for those of you who are looking at the picture, yes that plank of wood IS the shower seat!) If we weren't so tired and in need of a good shower, we would have left. We were given a wifi password for the internet.... Which never connected since the signal was so weak. Poorly patched walls, mold under the sink. Though we needed to do laundy, that was in another building in the complex. We didn't attempt to check it out, we didnt trust the facility enough to check it out. Please note: they asked for a $50 cash deposit plus a credit card at check in. Booked a room for one night online, had my printed copy of my confirmation of the type of room I purchased for the night, "Non-smoking and late arrival/check in time with one king bed". Upon arrival it was late & we were tired, one party ahead of us to get their room (not reserved). My husband gets helped finally, gives our name & confirmation print out of our "PAID" for room we previously booked that day to front desk only to be told they just rented their last non smoking room with one king bed to people ahead of us in check in line!!! Room we got smelled horrid of stale cigerette's, there was smells coming from other rooms close by that was obviously more than just cigerette smell & smoke. Had broken crack pipe on floor in room, dirty clothing & hair accessories left under bed. Sloppy dingy poorly fixed or put together room. When asked for manager, acted sympathetic to our ply, & told me to call tomorrow AM & the manager would be in than. What I was given was a disconnected phone line!!! Should be shut done for all the prostitution & drug trafficking that is obviously going on there. Filthy disgusting...
