WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! ( THIS COMING FROM A CURRENT FRONT DESK MARRIOTT EMPLOYEE!!! )
I stayed at this location for a few days. The first day and check in was good. No complaints. MY second day was a little different. I Was staying at this location because my husband was being discharged from hospice and coming home for the last few days he has. I had my do not disturb my door and twice someone tried to enter. House keeping and then maintenance and he didn't even knock. I always leave a camera up in my room and this was caught on camera but when i talked to the front desk lady about it. She made it seems as though i was lying. Whatever i get they have to deal with a lot of crazy people at this location so i was willing to let it go. MY last day there was not supposed to be my last day however. I mistakenly took the wrong phone with me that had our debit card in it so my daughter went to the front desk explained and they gave her until noon to renew. well I wasn't sure she had made it in time and i wasn't able to get into my room for she had the key. When i went to the front desk to get one. There was a lady ahead of me who was having some kind of issue with her credit card or something but it was clear there was a issue. When i was next i asked for a key. She said she didn't have a key and i would need to get it from my daughter. Who i remind you was on her way to work after she paid for the room. * I did not know she already had done so. SO i explained she was doing that. They lady was on the phone with someone who said "tell her she has until 1230 to check out.Check out?! Why?I didn't know my daughter had renewed on time. But whatever well she said she would have maintenance let me in the room. This is at 1200. By 1215 I went back saying that maintenance hadn't let us in. So she let me in the room. MY husband who was in the rest room was having a hard time and my daughter called me back and said she already paid. I went back to the front desk and stated she had already paid and explained my husband was ill and didn't have a lot of time and this was going to make things way harder. She had me take a seat in the lobby while she called the manager. During the call i heard her try and call BS on my situation because she was just at the room and the guy looked fine. I am shocked by now and i explain that wasn't my husband that was his brother. She didn't care she was beyond rude. so I went back and started packing up the room not even 5 mins later she comes knocking on the door telling us we need to leave. MY brother and law and I showed her how much we had to pack up and that we did not get in the room until 12:19. SO she decides to call the cops. It was a relief that the officer was friendly and was sympathetic to our situation. He waited until we were ready to go and he left. He stated I wouldn't stay here again this a problem hotel. HE was right about that. Its not my fault you don't have enough room keys firstly. Secondly all of it was uncalled for and i hope karma catches them because there was no bsing on this end. The 2 of them shouldn't be in that kind of position because its clear they have zero customer service. I complained to choice and demanded a follow up. I will...
Read moreThe best part of this hotel was the geographical location and proximity to freeways and entertainment options. As for the stay, Check-in was great! Very helpful front desk check-in attendant. The rooms can definitely use an upgrade, especially the bedding and sheets. The displeasure in earnest took place the following morning before check-out. The reason I choose Choice Hotels is not necessarily for the comfort of luxury, but rather for the convenience. One of those conveniences listed on the Choice Hotel website was a hot breakfast, and "Grab & Go Breakfast," allowing guests on the go in the morning the ability to grab some food as the head out to tackle the day. As a first responder, this is one of the selling points for when I need to book rooms for myself and my team when being deployed across the state/country to respond to natural disasters and wildfires. This hotel, while advertised Grab & Go Breakfast as an amenity, instead made for an awkward and uncomfortable breakfast experience souring the rest of the stay. I walked into the breakfast area (Self Serve) and proceeded to make myself a waffle, bagel and was putting together a typical breakfast plate. During this time a hotel employee was standing, positioned awkwardly between the food and beverage counters and the dining tables, watching me as I maneuvered around her to get to the refrigerator and coffee station. After I gathered my breakfast plate and coffee and began to leave, she stepped in front of me and said that I couldn't leave the dining room per hotel policy and that all food must be consumed in the dining area. This was something I have never experienced before and was taken aback not knowing if it was said in jest. She indicated that I must sit at a table and consume my breakfast. I informed her of Choice Hotel's "Grab & Go" advertised amenity that was listed as a feature of that particular property to no response besides, "No, that's wrong." I informed her that I was not interested in arguing or making an issue out of it, but politely asked if I could speak to a manager to clarify the policy that contradicts what was advertised. I was told that no manager was on duty and won't be available until late afternoon. Not wishing to cause a scene, I sat down at a table and began eating my waffle. The employee continued to stand about 3 feet away from me and was watching me eat the entire time. It may have been my sour mood at that point, felt as though, she kept an eye on me to ensure I don't slip a banana or a yogurt in my pocket and try to slip away. I nibbled around the edges of my plate and threw away my breakfast, as the whole situation made me want to be anywhere but in that dining room and the longer I had food in front of me, the longer I would be captive to the the breakfast hall. I am very disappointed in this hotel and the way the staff treated the entire situation. I would have at least appreciated acknowledgement and accommodation by staff when I presented them with the information listed on its own website contradicting their directives towards me or at the very least, taking the time to explain why such a policy is in place instead of just telling me that the...
Read moreThe receptionist at check in was rude and not helpful at all. Her customer service needs a lot of improvement. My experience started off negative from the start but I had hope that the room would be better. Unfortunately, as soon as I walked into the room, I noticed a terrible smell that never went away. the smell alone was strong enough that I almost considered leaving. The walls had stains on them and the floors were very dirty. The bedding also had stains on them which was very disgusting. The bathtub looked dirty and looked like it was spray painted white to cover up the dark spots. The lights on one of the lamps also did not work and the main ceiling lighting would flicker. The outlets next to the bed did not work. During breakfast, the staff stared at us the whole time which made us very uncomfortable and as a result we were not able to enjoy breakfast. It was also upsetting that the staff didn’t take time to wipe down the tables ever after the guests finished especially since they were in the other room laughing and talking to each other the whole time. I noticed that guest spilled their coffee and nothing was done about it. They just continued talking and didn’t bother helping clean the floor or put a “wet” sign nearby even though they were staring at the dumb ing area the whole time. The hot food was also cold and one of the yogurts was expired so I had to throw it away myself. Luckily I noticed before eating it. The dining experience was so bad that I had to throw away my untouched food and went to go eat somewhere else. The only positive experience was that there was a different receptionist at check out and she was very helpful and listed to my concerns. Unfortunately I don’t think anything will improve with this location but I definitely will not ever be staying here. I have been a loyal quality inn guest and have been to many different quality inn hotels in different locations and this is by far the worst one. Not I am now considering staying at a different hotel brand moving forward. I know I can get a better experience somewhere else since I have been let down by quality inn. I hope future guests do not experience what I experienced and something truly gets...
