First I want to say thank you to those who decide to show up for work. These days I know just like you do, this within itself is a blessing. Now onto my first world gripe! We really really enjoyed their punctuality of service when this location first opened. Ever since then the owner hasn't really been working the line and it shows. When he was there he was very personable which made everyone else the same way. Now, the service horrid. We call ahead to avoid the rush and without fail if the online order says it'll be ready at 11:20 am, I'll show up ready to go and still manage to not get out of there till sometimes 11:40 for example. The longest I have waiting on an online order is nearly 30 minutes past the time the order said it'd be ready. I bite my tongue and try to not place any pressure on the staff but this will have been 4 orders in a row that have not been ready within an acceptable timeframe declared it'd be ready. So i ask why the online order ahead feature? Why no offer to compensate for the tardy order. YES I know they'll say "sorry for the wait" but again this isn't why we fell in love with this place! Ordered online, got an email saying to pick food up at 5:56, got there in time, no food in the area where it usually is so we thought it'd be up soon. We stood there for nearly an hour watching as many others who had been there longer waited too. The place was a mess. There was no order to how things were being done. There were bags of food that sat at the counter waiting to be filled for a very long time. There was no way to talk to anyone who worked there because the place was so packed. We left, we don't have time to stand and wait around like idiots, I would have been okay with having to wait for the order but we got there when we were told the food would be ready. When the manager sees that people have been waiting for a very long time it is their job to intervene. NOTHING was done, very bizarre way to run a business! Read moreI love Jersey Mike's! And I was thrilled when this location opened, since I live in Firestone. I have been there twice, both times busy, so the wait was longer than normal, but that was fine. And both times the subs were fine.
So why one star? (I changed my rating to 3 stars because in general, I like Jersey Mike’s. But getting food out is a full experience, encompassing all aspects of the visit, and it’s hard to enjoy even good food when the environment makes you uncomfortable. This is a difficult time, but if you are indifferent to masking up, by all means get a sub here. It’s good food.)
There were no masks being worn by employees. And I know, it's Weld County, so the choice is theirs. But with new Covid variants that are highly contagious, why would you choose to do this? Especially since I overheard the owner talking about staffing issues.
