5 stars and I wish I could put more!
My mom liked onions for the first time, my dad said it was the highlight of our trip so far and that if we lived around here, we'd eat here regularly, and I considered whether I should start one in my area, because a restaurant THIS good would DEFINITELY be a success! Also thought about whether my future kids could JUST eat this food!
Clean, too. Even the baby changing station in the bathroom (which I didn't use, but checked because I wanted to see if EVERYTHING was good, not just the food, nice people, and clean eating area). Was NOT disappointed!
Super nice people, too. Kind, easy to talk to, happy, energized. You could tell they wanted to be there.
Lovely environment. There were uplifting signs saying to take quiet moments and to help others. Music was a great volume (my ears are sensitive), and was a nice, stress-free pace/ genre. Some kind of easy listening pop.
The food was so good that when we bit into our food, more than one of us let out an involuntary "mmmm." After eating a large soup, half a grilled cheese sandwich, a (soft!) chibotta roll, and a huge thing of mac and cheese, all to myself, my dad gifted me a sandwich of the kind he had eaten and let me try, which I would have eaten entirely if he hadn't stopped me. To my surprise, when ai took a bite to claim it so he wouldn't eat it later, a "dessert stomach" opened up, allowing me to eat half of it, even though I was FULL. Like,...
Read moreVisiting from California on vacation. We don't have a lot of places like this out there, so I had to try it.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They explained well about the rotation system they have with the soups they serve.
I ordered the Lobster Bisque, Chicken Noodle, and the Loaded Baked Potato for my mom. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chicken noodle, but instead got served the chicken pot pie....I still took it with me though because the sample was delicious.
The Lobster Bisque actually had a good amount of lobster pieces on it, which really added to the texture/flavor of the soup. It was creamy, buttery, and actually full of lobster flavor. 10/10
The Chicken pot pie has a good about of chicken to it, and a strong pepper taste, so if you don't like pepper like that, it probably ain't for you. It does come with a good about of vegetables, so thats a plus. It's also really thick, so it's perfectfor when it's cold out. 8/10
I personally didn't try the Potato soup, but I was told it was...
Read moreThe problem? Management! The place is operating in total disarray. The workers are slow, inexperienced and lack initiative. I waited 25 minutes for my order. The guy in front of me was served in 10 minutes; then 5 more people that came in after me were served before me. Out of those 5, 4 of them had to come back to the counter, stop the people from what they were working on and ask for a fork. Really? Doesn't somebody make a decision after a while to put the forks accessible to the patrons? Apparently no one there was in charge. The young lady taking orders and handing them to customers waiting had the exact same apology rehearsed and delivered to all. The workers there and not the problem. It's the person who is supposed to be in charge. It's as if they had never been trained. Management; actually the lack thereof. That's the problem. BTW, I gave 2 stars because the...
