Leaving a 1-star review, despite the very good aspects of my experience, because of the absolutely disgusting nature of the incident that occurred as soon as I paid for my room. I had checked in after driving all night and morning with my wife and 2 dogs. I own my own business and I travel all over the country for work. I was able to get a parking space directly outside my room window and I then decided to hand our few bags and grocery store goodies through the window to my wife to avoid carrying a bunch of weight I wasn't supposed to be carrying. I had been hit by a woman in a truck while walking In a parking lot at a gas station a few days before. When I began doing this, a man who was literally unable to speak coherent English started yelling at me, and the first discernable words I heard were "No drugs! No drugs!". I have a BS degree in Engineering and I do drone work for the government, military, and police. I am also an adult with Autism, diagnosed with 10 years of therapy to manage my symptoms. The amount of anger in my chest when this man started yelling at me was insurmountable. He then proceeded to walk over and look into the window in my room, and then the neighbors room (who had an infant, newborn baby), while repeating his " No Drugs!". I asked him to walk away, he followed me then to my car and began to look inside my car while leaning over my back as I got into the backseat of my hatchback. It took everything I had not to blow up.
Positive side: Max at the front desk is an actual human. Great guy, pleasant in the early morning and actually kept a decent breakfast available and hot, on time as posted. It's a free breakfast, I don't expect f** steak and caviar. Cheap rooms and still quiet even with a newborn next door. Honestly, great place to stay but the man that yelled at me for doing nothing wrong or against any rules clearly works here, man of Asian heritage. Ruined the whole experience for me. I'm still boiling as I write this the...
Read moreWe stayed here when were were looking for a rental house in Fort Collins. First, it was on us that we didn't understand how far Longmont was from Fort Collins as we were coming from out of town. But there were no hotels that I could book online that weekend as it was CSU grad weekend and Mother's Day. What I should have done was called around to hotels in the area but what I did was take the introvert-coward's way out and just book this room, figuring the drive to/from the Fort wouldn't be that bad. It was a long drive. And when we got back to the hotel, the bed was creaky, lumpy, and uncomfortable. The whole room was dingy, worn, maybe clean but was never going to look really clean again b/c it was so old. The walls were thin letting in noise from the parking lot, gas station, Waffle house lot etc. Worst, was the leftover piece of furniture in the corner - an old TV stand? - that we kept scratching ourselves on to get around it because the room was so small. I guess you can't complain too much based on the cheap price but this was the worst cheap hotel room we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in a few. The kicker, and the thing we still talk about is the couple of apparently abandoned cars in the lot (since removed). One of them, a van, had a whole supermarket cake sitting on the dashboard, just missing one slice. Every time we passed it, we wondered just what went down in this place that people were eating cake in a van and then left in a hurry... Do not recommend this place unless you were desperate like we were that weekend. Leaving was the best part of the...
Read moreAt initial check in the woman I'm guessing owner was incredibly rude. No sense of humor, answered questions with few words and seemed annoyed at our presence. The following morning we woke up right at check out and asked for a late check out and said the most they could give was 15 min for maids needed in the room to get ready for the next guest. Obviously 15 min was not enough time, offered to pay extra but still told no. Minutes later recieved a knock on the door from 3 employees saying its time to go I said yes 2 min plz as I was shutting the door the pushed it open and said I was to leave the door open for they going to wait right there. I took my dog to the car, returned and I was locked out of the room and my remaining belongings were left unattended in the hall. I seen no maids cleaning the room, still cleaning rooms on another floor. When we went to the office to formally check out they said we had 4guest not 2 therefor we are no longer welcome to stay at there hotel again. We are married couple in our late 40s and the 2 extra guest literally arrived at time of check out for we were to meet for breakfast at the waffle house next door and when we were not there they came to our room and woke us.. unless you want to be treated like a criminal and embarrassed I say do not stay at the run down quality inn, worse I've ever seen I...
