Last night, 4/13/24, I called Parks Place Pub in Fishers to inquire about if the patio was open and if it was dog friendly. I received an extremely friendly “yes,” packed up my ten pound dachshund, and headed that way to meet some friends at approximately 9PM. When we arrived to the patio, we sat down at a table in the corner. My dog, who was nervous in a new place, indicated that she wanted up. As a ten pound dog, it’s not uncommon for her to want and receive “up.” I picked her up and our waitress approached the table. I would tell you her name if she had told us, or if her or any of the other staff at Parks Place Pub wore name tags. The first thing she says is “can you put your dog on the ground?” This question caught me off guard. She went on to say “the board of health doesn’t allow dogs to be picked up.” I said “that is impossible, we’ve been to every patio in town.” She responded with “the rules are posted on the sign back here.” I informed her that we would try having her on the ground, placed my drink order, and settled in. My dog was first happily sniffing around a new environment, but ultimately began to cry when she wanted me to hold her. All eyes were on our table, the staff made us feel extremely unwelcome. At one point I walked her over to the posted rules, they are not from the board of health. The Indiana board of health wouldn’t use gothic font or add jokes such as “Dogs are not allowed on the tables or chairs, they should be on the ground, unless they can fly.” I went back to my table, told my friends about how unofficial the rules looked, and began discussing taking my dog home. I then picked my dog up, and our waitress appeared. “Can you put your dog down?” I told her that we were leaving because it was uncomfortable and she said “you don’t have to have your dog here.” I asked why this rule existed. She said “we got complaints that dogs were licking plates and tables and the board of health wanted them to stop accepting dogs and the compromise was keeping them on the ground.” I said “that’s an owner problem, not a dog problem.” My thoughts on this logic is that some dog breeds are tall enough to reach the tops of the tables, and that you could bring a plate down to them. Ultimately I felt extremely disrespected and lied to. I would say that if Park Place Pub was going to be that strict on rules to stop allowing dogs. Speaking of rules, we weren’t carded and I know for a fact that that is a rule. Apparently they cherry puck regulations at Park Place Pub. To summarize, Park Place Pub is not dog friendly, they’re barely...
Read moreSecond time here. I tried the bourbon wings and my wife got the fiesta horseshoe. The wings where delicious....that sauce...I could have drank a shot of it. Outstanding...wish they added more. Wife's horseshoe was delicious as well. Lots of cheese sauce with my only ding being it could have been a tad thicker (cheesier). That's not a nock, just a personal preference of mine. Get it, you will enjoy it.
The actual dig is for the cookie dessert. I asked to have it cooked a bit longer because I HATE uncooked dough. I was told they couldn't because the edges would burn. I said ok cause I visualized a giant cookie. When we get the dish it looks like several individually cooked cookies which then makes no sense to me. They were doughy almost to the edge. Additionally, there was hardly any ice cream. Maybe I poor mans scoop in total. Like they ran out and scrapped together the three dots they gave us.
Other then the dessert, everything was really good
First time experience: Same great food experience but didn't get the dessert. This is about the service. They played the normal rock I heard the second time when we came in. We are there about 5 minutes when I noticed it switched to R&B. R&B played the whole time until we paid the bill and then it switched back to the normal music. Wife and I had a great laugh about it and we enjoyed the consideration. Most places wouldn't have given...
