On 3/9/2024, I placed an order for carry out. When I arrived home I realized I did not receive the correct order. As a result I contacted the restaurant in attempts to rectify the situation however when I called and asked to speak with the manager she asked about a receipt I informed her I only signed a receipt and was not given a copy however my order number was 102 and I would be more than happy to return the order. The owner then places my on hold not realizing I can still hear her and her chef accuse me of being a scammer who leaves bad reviews and only wants a refund. To make matters worse she then proceeds to hang up on me. I then call back to inquire about why I was hung up on as well as to now request a refund since I am a scammer. Unfortunately due to how they handled this situation, the lack of professionalism, and poor customer service I will not be returning to this establishment. If you must eat here exercise caution and check your order before you leave.
UPDATE: Because I was hung up on and accused of being a scammer I personally went back to the restaurant to return the chicken and to get a refund. I also requested to speak with the owner who informed me that she has been scammed by non paying customers who never actually placed an order. Though I understand her disposition, especially as a business owner myself, it is extremely unprofessional to have a conversation about a customer while they are on the phone, especially if you are not going to have the common courtesy to properly place them on hold and to go as far as accuse them of scamming even after I provided you with a order number and then disconnect the call is inexcusable.
The restaurant could have easily said we do not provide refunds over the phone can you come in or next meal is on us let me get your information. But instead I was hung up on and accused of being a scammer. DO...
Read moreThe 1-star reviews do not make any sense other than perhaps bombed by minions of their competitors?? Our experience began with a line-up outside which worked up our already heightened appetites. Seating is somewhat limited, but luckily there was a booth/table seating large enough for our party of 10. Enjoy watching K-pop singing and dancing on the monitors while you wait for your order. To sample a variety of flavors, we shared 4 whole orders of bone-in fried chicken, Teokbokki (chewy rice cakes in spicy broth with a halved boiled egg), sweet potato fries, curly fries, and a side order of kimchi which was plenty of food. The kimchi tasted authentic and on-point! We tried the white sweet onion, garlic soy green onion, garlic spicy, and a plain fried chicken with sauces on the side. If I were to give constructive feedback, it would be to slightly increase the portion of the appetizers especially with fries or offer small and large sizes and to add sweet and sour pickled radish cubes as complimentary with whole orders of chicken at the very least. Overall, our first experience was quite positive. The server staff was attentive and courteous. Glad to see “outside of the box” food establishments such as CM Chicken finally open up in the Indiana/HamCo area. I would recommend to avoid peak times or to pre-order as wait time especially during the grand opening period could be well over 1.5 hours. I hope they continue to “grand opening” vibe and thrive forever!! Psst! Your google website link...
Read moreI’ll get this out of the way first. Food was all wonderful. We got the spicy garlic drumsticks and they were outstanding. Sauce has some heat for sure, chicken was hot and juicy, skin chicken was perfectly fried and crispy.
The rest of the experience definitely left something to be desired. We ate in and the back of the restaurant smelled strongly of bleach. Not a good start. We ordered a few apps, some kids popcorn chicken and the spicy garlic chicken. Apps came out in about 10 minutes.
After we’d already eaten the apps, our server comes out to tell us that they’re out of the kids popcorn chicken and asks if regular nuggets will be okay. Sure. But weird it took 20 minutes to realize they were out when we ordered everything together. Kids chicken came out about 10 minutes later.
Garlic chicken ended up taking close to an hour. We asked our server about it and then never heard anything back. A manager stopped by a few minutes later and we also told her we were missing the chicken. She came back a few minutes later and said they were making it fresh. No other indication of how long it would be or what happened.
We were getting antsy because we were there with our 1 year old and 3 year old. That’s a long time for them to sit.
Overall the food was incredible, hence the 5*, and they’re still really new so I’m not holding the service against them. But they definitely gave some things to figure out. We’ll definitely...
