If it wasn't for the lack of professionalism and misinformation of hours, I would have given a 5-star for the delicious custard and Italian ice we always get there. I have been going to Ritas for years in a lot of different places I have lived from the east coast to the west.

Since moving here to Fishers, I was excited to see that there was a ritas nearby and I could continue having my treats with my family. However, I started to notice things that lead to my disappointment with this location.

THe store has, at times, closed way earlier than the posted hours. For example, the sign says they are open til 9, and they were already closed when I got there at 7:30. This was in October. Before that, there was also one time I got there around 8:45 pm in July, and they locked their doors already, cleaning up, and looking at me like I was crazy, when they were supposed to be open til 10 pm. Why is this??? I believe this is true laziness and is unacceptable that your workers do not keep the place open until the POSTED hours that you are supposed to close. There are people/families that are coming home from work, wanting to have some after-dinner dessert with their kids, etc. And to see that you guys close early is unacceptable and will cause you to lose evening customers.

I just went back there at the end of this week (After March 1st) to see that you guys are still "closed for the season." Yet, your sign says "see you March 1st." Hello? It is March 3rd, why aren't you guys open yet?

The bottom line is, there needs to be more up-to-date information on your hours, and when you guys will open back up as it is very convenient leaving people to think you guys will be open at a certain time just to find out that you guys still are not open yet. Management also needs to do a better job at staying in the know about what these young workers are doing as far as closing the shop early. It is inconvenient for families and unprofessional.

Otherwise, I have always enjoyed coming for the yummy desserts and look forward to coming back...

This has become my wife's favorite evening stop. The service is quick, the atmosphere of family friendly and the custard and ice are awesome! It is a unique dessert mixing Italian ice and custard in several different ways. Both the custard flavors and the ice flavors rotate on a regular basis. I like the Gelati which is layers of ice and custard (Cherry and vanilla is the common but I do love the root beer ice). The wife loves the Blendini which mixes the two (think Blizzard but with Italian ice and custard). A must stop!

PS the owner is usually around and does...

Thank goodness Rita's is open in the midst of his crazy pandemic is good that one of our regular Staples open back up so excited I was happy to go on the first day once again the service is impeccable the young man at the counter were so awesome they took their time and we're very patient and let my daughter who is 7 and learning to count money they let her pay with her money and they were very patient I thanked them and we will truly be back as a regular week tradition long as they are open...

That was the most awkward and weirdest experience ever. I never write reviews but after that I had too. I walked in and all 3 ladies that were working stared at me like I was the dumbest person on the planet. I've never been in before and wasn't sure what I was ordering. I asked for two scoops of a certain Gelato and was given this...I seriously thought it was a joke. One gal asked if I wanted more what to order so I paid and left. Super unwelcoming.

Ripoff!!! I ordered a cone and while I was paying for it I noticed it sounded hollow. I mentioned it to them and they gave me a ludicrous response that they do that on purpose so the cone doesn't get soggy. I've been eating ice cream cones all my life and that isn't how they work. They just want to rip you off. Getting an ice cream cone is supposed to make you happy, I was left frustrated and wanting a real ice cream cone.
