Amazing Food at Sun King Brewing in Fishers, but Frustrating Ordering System
I recently visited Sun King Brewing in Fishers and was blown away by the amazing food! From the burgers to the tacos, every bite was packed with flavor and care. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a great selection of craft beers.
However, the ordering system was a major letdown. To place a food order, customers scan a QR code to access the menu on their phone. While the food was excellent, the process of ordering and picking it up was inconvenient.
After ordering, customers have to wait for an SMS notification to pick up their food themselves. This lack of service and reliance on technology made the experience feel impersonal.
The beer selection was excellent, and the servers were knowledgeable and happy to help with beer recommendations. However, the separate payment transactions for food and beer were inconvenient.

Oh how things can change in three year's time! I had to degrade my 5 star to a two star. For a long while we were still visiting this place twice a month. Over the past 8 months the place just started to decline. The beers were so-so and tonight may be my last. We arrived and sat at an empty table for 10 minutes before I asked the guy at the front desk if we can get some service. A guy comes around and took our order and later brought our items. We slowly drank them over the course of 15 minutes at least. All the while I was watching the server aimlessly walk around and chat to a woman he appeared to be training. We waited another 10 minutes for the guy to come around but he never did. Fed up, we went to the guy at the front desk and asked if we could pay and leave. The guy said he had to get the server so he can ring it up. Server comes out, cannot use the register in the front, goes to wherever and comes back with sales checks.
What really irritates me besides the non-attentive server is the guy at the front desk had to have seen us sitting there with no drinks and then empty glasses. We were the first table away from the front area. He saw and did not care.
I do not believe I will be back to this place. There's too many other options to bother with a place where we are...

While waiting at our table, the waitress serving the patio looked at us twice (not speaking) as she served the table in front of us two beers and a few minutes later returned (still not speaking) to serve them two additional beers (a party of 2 with their dog). At this point we had been waiting 10/15 minutes, so my boyfriend went inside to ask if we could order some beers. Where the bartender/waitress behind the bar (whom had 4 customers), asked him where we seated at? (responding-the patio) She responded very rudely with “You just need to go back to your seat, sit down, and wait for your server! We only have two people working.” (When the polite professional response should have been “Let me get you a few beers and I’ll let your server know, my apologies”) 20 minutes later when a waitress/waiter (2 together) approached our table, the rudeness, disrespect, and unprofessionalism had already taken it’s impact. We regularly visit the Sun King location in Kokomo and downtown Fishers with wonderful experiences. This location on the other hand holds great disappointment. We will not be returning.
