I had the pleasure of visiting Rize in Fishers, IN, for breakfast, and my experience was packed with bold flavors, creative touches, and a few pleasant surprises that made the visit memorable.
I ordered the Full Biscuits and Gravy, which immediately stood out in both presentation and taste. While I found the biscuits themselves to be just a bit dry, the flavor profile of the dish more than made up for it. The gravy was incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned, with a freshness you could taste in every bite. There’s a comforting richness to the dish that feels crafted — not mass-produced — and it delivered exactly what you’d hope from a scratch kitchen-style breakfast.
I also decided to add on a Side Salad and a Fruit Cup, and they deserve their own spotlight. The salad came with a maple vinaigrette that honestly stole the show. The bowl itself was a bit narrow and made the salad a little hard to eat without making a mess — you kind of have to fight your way in — but once you get a forkful, you understand why it’s worth the battle. The vinaigrette was tangy, sweet, and complex — the kind of dressing that makes you want to savor every drop.
Then came the Fruit Cup, which I didn’t expect to be a standout item — but it turned out to be a major highlight. Hands down, this was the best fruit I’ve tasted in the Fishers area. Every piece — from the blueberries to the strawberries, the cantaloupe to the pineapple — was ripe, juicy, and full of flavor. Nothing bland, under-ripe, or filler-like about it. It truly felt like dessert in a cup.
To complete the experience, I ordered a brunch cocktail called the Rize + Shine Mocha, and it was the perfect balance of bold and smooth. It’s a cold brew-based drink with vodka and chocolate syrup, and while that combo might sound intense, it was surprisingly mellow and refreshing. The drink wasn’t overwhelmed by either the coffee or the alcohol — both flavors blended beautifully without overpowering one another. The optional whipped cream on top added a creamy finish without making it overly sweet. If you’re into adventurous breakfast beverages, this one’s a win.
The vibe at Rize is casual-chic with a welcoming, open atmosphere. The staff was attentive without hovering, and the outdoor seating provided a nice view of the surrounding area. It’s the kind of place you could enjoy solo, on a brunch date, or with a group of friends.
All in all, Rize exceeded expectations. It’s one of those rare spots where nearly everything you taste feels like it was made with intention and care. While there are small areas for improvement (like the salad bowl size and biscuit moisture), the overall execution, flavor, and freshness are what truly define...
Read moreEverything here looked good, but it was largely mediocre. We shared a cinnamon roll and a strawberry crepe to start. The cinnamon roll was massive with a tasty frosting, but was dry and just okay. The crepe was fine. No one's meal was great. A couple were fine, but that's all. Mine was bad and I didn't eat 2/3 of it. It was supposed to be a vegetarian frittata. What it was was more like a plain omelet topped with a vegetable mixture and pesto. It was super greasy. There were pools of oil on my plate. And the eggs had a kind of custardy texture that wasn't really pleasant without other ingredients cooked into them. It was also topped with pickled red onions which were not in the menu description. Other issues were things like slightly overcooked toast making a dish hard to cut. And the "poptart" that was part of my grandsons meal was just a piece of pastry with some kind of jam baked on top. It looks nothing like the pictures that I have seen of them in reviews. And the coffee just...
Read moreThis is my favorite brunch place in Fishers and I have never been disappointed. Honestly, Rīze is one of my favorite restaurants in Indiana. I have been here several times and I have ordered various items off the menu. I do appreciate that they have seasonal items like the poptart. The food is very fresh and tasty. The fruit is very fresh and I would recommend the yogurt with fruit. I secretly love the side salad and the dressing on it which makes it the perfect bite to complement the food. Additionally, the best compliment to the food is the service. The service is simply amazing. The empty dishes are quickly removed, refills appear without asking, and the servers always check up on you to make sure everything is ok. Even when it is super busy, I still get my food in a reasonable time and the service is the same. The location and building is beautiful. I would highly recommend this place. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy some...
