This was the first time I have had Shake Shack before, so I figured I would try a bit more than I would normally order. Because the place has been so busy since launch, I had heard you could order online from the app from the local news the day they had opened and pick it up threw the drive thru. It took me a week before I even saw times available in the app to place an order. I thought that was a little crazy, and I even check it off hours, just to see if it would display anything. Once it started to display times, you would have to place an order at minimum 3 hours ahead of time, which again I thought was crazy for being fast food.

The app itself is not very intuitive if you are trying to look at the menu before you order, something that I wanted to do since I have never had there food before. It requires you to select an order pickup time before you can even look at the menu. Once you can get a time, that isn't locked out already, then you can order, but again it is a race to order order as they put you on a countdown timer. While I understand having countdown timer in the app for the order, for someone that hasn't had any of there food before, I felt like I was literally racing through everything to try and figure out what I wanted. The count down also included entering in my credit card information, which I was a little surprised about as well. I got everything done with 10 seconds to spare.

Three hours later, I drive over there to get my food at my specific time. I pull up to the drive thru, give my name, and come to find out my food isn't ready. I was told to pull over to the pick up parking spot, along with the car that was in front of me. I wait an additional 10 minutes before my food is finally brought out to me. While the lady that brought out the food apologized, this did not set in well with me as the experience up to this point had been poor. Why am I having to wait for my food when I ordered 3 hours in advance? Shouldn't there be a separate queue for online orders?

So let's talk about the food, I had gotten a single ShackBurger, Cheese Fries, and a Chocolate Pudding Shake. When I first opened my burger, my initial expression was the burger just looks sad in how it was packaged. I had to rip open the wrapper to take the picture. While it look sad, the burger you could tell was a higher quality of beef, but the topping just seemed to melt into the burger. The lettuce texture reminded me of overdone spinach then lettuce, and the tomato I could barely taste, even though you can clearly see it in the picture. The special sauce that was on there, I feel like it blended in with the cheese and it really didn't stand out at all.

The cheese fries were pretty good. It definitely was not your typical cheese whiz. They actually reminded me of the cheese fries I used to get in Chicago at Ditka Dogs, which tasted like a high quality cheese blend, and is something I haven't been able to find in a really long time.

Finally, to the shake. I was surprised in how fast the shake actually melted in my car, considering I don't live too far from Shake Shake. I stuck it in the freezer to try and make it more like a shake than milk. I could tell the shake was really rich in flavor, but I don't think I was getting the true experience of the shake, had I been in the store.

Overall, I can tell the food is of higher quality, but with these COVID-19 times, the experience eating at home is just as important as eating at the restaurant. I feel there is a lot of improvements in this area that Shake Shack can do from an operations standpoint in regards to how ordering online and viewing a menu, to having orders actually ready when you have ordered 3 hours in advance. Also, presentation and flavoring of the burger could be a lot better. Right now I would say all of the hype of Shake Shack does not live up to expectations for the price you are paying...

First time at Shake Shack. I had never heard of them until they started construction here in Fishers. I know everyone was hyped for Shake Shack. I know they are always busy. So I waited until now to try them. I am not impressed.

Now mind you, there was nothing wrong with my order. In fact, it was tasty. I had the cheeseburger add bacon, fries and a strawberry shake. Everything was at the correct temperature. Everything tasted the way I expected it would. The burger was a little charred, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be. The fries were salted just right. The shake was creamy and very good. The wait was a little long, but again, they were busy. So, it the wait wasn't too bad.

But nothing was GREAT! It's a burger, fries, and a shake. It does not stand out at all in the world of fast food burgers. The crinkle cut fries remind me of Ore Ida (and they were allright'a) fries I would bake in the oven at home and buy at the grocery store. The burger was unremarkable. I mean, for the price, I'll do Five Guys and get a better burger and fry. The shake was easily the best thing about the meal. But, even that wasn't far above average. Frankly, when Hardees was doing there hand dipped shakes, they were better than this. (I'm uncertain if Hardees still does those or not.) In my opinion nothing really stands out about this visit.

To be fair, the place was clean and the service was very friendly. They had a small army working and it was lunch time. They were very busy. So to get the food to me when they did and not have an error with it is really good, maybe even great. The location is great. But, now with the addition of Shake Shack, parking is atrocious.

I do not understand the hype. But I also am a huge Whataburger fan, being born and raised in Texas. And my wife says the same thing about them. Maybe it's nostalgia? I don't know. I give it a solid 4 for...

We’ve been waiting for the crowds to shrink in order to try this restaurant. First thing I noticed is that you walk inside and you don’t really know where to go. There are lots of people standing around. Kiosks are off to the side of the front door. There are people standing there, there are people waiting for orders, there is a big sign saying “Cash” with someone running a register underneath. It turns out that you can pay there with a credit card or cash so I’m not sure what the point is. I ordered a single burger with no cheese but I did want their sauce and I also ordered cheese fries. My husband ordered a mushroom burger and large fries. You can’t hear your name being called because the music is so loud. The music might be nice when things settle down but not right now. The guy behind us walked up a couple of times thinking his name had been called when it hadn’t. When the order came I realized that she didn’t give me the cheese fries or charge me for them. I was disappointed that they were missing and I would have gone back to order them again but it seemed like such a hassle that I didn’t. We took our bag and the sandwiches are in boxes that are not marked., I don’t know how people can tell who has ordered what for a family. The give you an enormous bag which seems like a waste considering we had three small items. I didn’t get the cheese fries I ordered but she put cheese on my burger (which I didn’t want). The parking lot is congested. I won’t be going back again, I’ll go to Five Guys instead, at least it’s not...

First, let me start by saying, I LOVE Shake Shack! I discovered them when I lived overseas in the UAE-United Arab Emirates. I also lived in Georgia and have eaten at the location in Peachtree. I've discovered that all Shake Shacks are not the same. Some are just better than others. Today, my burger had a lot of "fatty pieces" in each bite which prevented me from enjoying the burger because portions of it couldn't be broken down from chewing it... I'd recommend the chicken shack though and I regret that I didn't get one. I spent a little over $30.00 for two Shack burgers, two cheese fries, one milk Shake and a sugar free coke. I'd like to enjoy the food that I choose to spend money on, especially because it's not cheap to eat here. On another note, the food was fresh and ready fast! The place was PAAAAAACKED!!!! People were eating outside and inside. So it's a pretty popular establishment.

Overall pretty good but very similar to Culver’s, Steak’N Shake or In & Out from the West Coast! Very simple but tasty burgers ranging from single or double cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches & mushroom burgers! Their fries are crinkle fries and not regular straight fries and they come with options of cheese or a spicy seasoning! Their shakes are also pretty tasty; simple but tasty offering flavors like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla or cookies & cream! The cheese sauce that they offer is pretty basic as well! The best time to eat this food is immediately after you order it! If you wait, the cheese sauce cools off & hardens up! This is a good food if you are a late night eater! Overall, we spent $39 on our first time visiting and yes it was good but possibly a little over priced!
