Rocky's Pizzeria Restaurant — Restaurant in Flagler Beach

We’ve been loyal customers here for the past two years, before the new owners took over. Sadly, everything that once made this place special is gone.

Yes, the inside looks “updated,” but that’s where the improvements end. The pizza tastes about the same, but the new owner is flat-out grumpy, rude, and unkind. He yells and argues with his staff in front of people, you can tell the waitress looks miserable under his new management but she was the only comfort there was from the previous experiences here at Rocky’s!

This used to be a chill, welcoming beachside pizza spot with a family atmosphere, friendly staff, and little comforts (like their amazing home made cookies — which are now gone). Saddening… And we gave this place 2 tries with the new owners; hoping maybe it was just an off day for them but the 2nd visit was the worse one!

The worst part? The owner actually tried to boss my 10-year-old around because he wasn’t wearing shoes — after we had just come from the beach! We’ve done that countless times under the old ownership with zero issues. Instead of being understanding, the owner made us feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and like we were doing something wrong just for being there God forbid without shoes on our little boy coming in from the beach across the street! This was not about cleanliness or keeping customers comfortable; but about micromanaging unreasonable new owners!

We ended up leaving and that was the breaking point.

We’ll never be back. The new owners should be ashamed of how they’ve completely ruined what was once our/ many others favorite weekend family spot.

At this rate, they’ll run Rocky’s into the ground.

In town on vacation and decided to order pizza for dinner. We chose 'delivery' on the restaurant's website and were redirected to 'Slice' for delivery. We placed our online order at 6:20p and the website gave us a delivery time of 6:57p - 7:12p. When our pizza had not arrived by 7:40p, we contacted Rocky's to check the status. We were told that the driver had picked up our food "at least 40 minutes ago." Our rental is only a few miles down the road, so it made no sense that it hadn't been delivered yet. The person who took my call then noticed that the driver that picked up our order was still in the parking lot of the restaurant. Someone went out to ask her what was going on and she told them that two other orders were just called in for delivery near our address, so she was waiting for those before delivering ours. Um, I'm sorry, but I don't think you should sit in your car for 40 + minutes with someone's food and wait for other orders. When she finally arrived at 8pm with our food she claimed that the restaurant would not give her any of the addresses until the orders were ALL ready (Interesting, since she initially said the orders were all for the same area.) The restaurant said when they handed her our order, they expected her to deliver it and come back for the others.

Needless to say, the food was barely warm and the thin crust was soggy by the time we received it. If we had know delivery would take an hour longer than quoted and our food would not be hot when we got it, we would have chosen to pick it up ourselves. It's unfortunate that 'Slice' is prepay and her tip was already charged to our card. We won't...

The food is phenomenal we had so much left over after we ate the portions are well worth the price as well as the food which was absolutely delicious my girlfriend got the vegetarian pizza which was awesome it was a small but it was a 14-in pizza is what he called a small which was incredible the crust was awesome the homemade sauce absolutely delicious I had the Philly cheese steak which was good incredible it was so good at it been a long time since I've had a good Philly and that was perfect the owner was very polite and courteous very nice guy even gave me a piece of pecan pie to go and that was very good teaching pie so good I took most of it home so I could have it for later nice Point little place right across from the beach little quaint little shop very clean very professional I highly recommend going in there for a pizza to anyone wanting a good pizza there are a few people I'm here that I've said trash about it I think honestly it's just the locals who own other restaurants for trying to get you did not go to his restaurant this man is an excellent you did not go to his restaurant this man is an Master at his craft my wife and I have joked about coming all the way from Gainesville just...
