We just had the worst experience ever at this Starbucks store. We went to get our young children some lunch before a long drive home. We were upset to see that the store allows single people to take up tables of 4 so they can set up their laptop and abuse the free WiFi policy. This meant that we were unable to find a table to sit down to eat with our small children (2 and 5). As we walked around looking for somewhere to sit, these people, who were taking up 90% of the seating all on separate tables selfishly, heads bowed and avoiding any eye contact, refused to acknowledge us and we were forced to sit outside on the cold with our children. They were so cold we had to pack up all the food and eat it in the car. There were at least 5 or 6 single people at tables for 4 with their laptops, paperwork spread across the whole table with their single coffee they bought to warrant being there. I have no idea how long these people abuse the situation for but no one left the entire time we were there. This is simply unacceptable that people come and use the WiFi for hours at a time. They were not having a quick check of emails and such like, they were there studying and the last time I looked Starbucks was a cafe and not a college library.
I politely raised this with the staff who really didn’t seem to care about the situation and told me that these people got there first. The staff pointed out their was a communal table for these people but on a table of 6 there were only two people using this table as they obviously like to spread out to write their essays or whatever they are doing. Read moreI would like to start this review off by stating that this does not apply to all employees. Some are very nice and respectful! I am not typically one to write a review but this issue should be addressed. My place of work orders coffee from Starbucks about once every couple of weeks to treat us. I happen to have been in charge of picking up our mobile order the past 3 times. The first time I picked up, a pleasant young man, I believe his name was Terrell but I could be wrong, was very helpful, kind, and thorough. But the other 2 times a couple of girls working were highly unprofessional, snotty, and just plain out rude. I didn’t get the gals names but they complained nonstop while I sat there for over an hour waiting for our order, as ours was skipped various times. I understand that our office order of 10-12 drinks can be highly overwhelming but I waited 30+ minutes to pick up to allow enough time for the employees to get our order together. I am not upset about the wait time, but I am infuriated with the disrespect and unprofessionalism that has been apparent multiple times. Rude remarks were made about our order and others orders while I sat there and listened for an hour. As a professional office, we always tip to ensure that the employees are thanked for their time but it feels like a slap in the face when you show your gratitude for them doing their job and then you sit there for an hour hearing them complain about you. Read moreI AM VERY HURT, DISSAPOINTED, DISRESPECTED, AND ANGRY AT ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES WHO WERE WORKING ON 2/14/2019 AT 10:30AM and 11:30AM. My Husband, our 3 small children and our pup were asleep at the Hotel Next to Starbucks, a fire broke out and customers yelling woke my husband up, he grabbed our 3 small children and our pup as fast as he can and ran over to Starbucks (he didn't have time to get our kids shoes or jackets on) it was raining as well as snow still outside on the floor. The Employees didn't ask my husband once if he or our children were OK or needed anything.. It's sad to say a few customers jumped in to help while my husband and children were waiting for me to show up. Every employee was whispering to each other as I witnessed myself as I was walking in to help my children and husband. It's very sad. My family lost everything we owned and all the employees standing around could do is talk about us. I know that they saw the fire and smoke. Never knew the employees were so rude until there is an emergency. I will be calling Corporate as well as management. I am not a happy customer or mommy!
