Fantastic local Flagstaff restaurant with a great vibe, great food and great service. My friend Adam took me here and I'll definitely be back for more.
We shared wings that were perfectly crispy on the outside and delectably juicy on the inside then I had a burger with onion rings. Burger has the perfect char on the outside and equally juicy on the inside.
Everything is on point, people were having a good time... didn't get a chance to drink but it looked like some great rum drinks are available. We really enjoyed our time there, it was the first time I've actually wanted to hang out at a restaurant after finishing my food in a long time.
Owner is a cool cat, great energy, super friendly... total surfer dude.
Only suggestions, and saying this as I want to see nothing but success for the owners and workers here: play some chill surf vibes playlists, lower the lighting a touch, push presentation to match how delicious the food is, and just keep being awesome. The word needs to get out about this place, as it really really does deserve to become a Flagstaff staple. Perhaps a great mocktail and cocktail menu, even on the tabletops... when staff come around to check on us, I could have been swayed to order more drinks - and definitely more of those wings. Seems like a place that'd have awesome coconut cream pie and key lime pie with some sort of hot rum drink. If not,...
Read moreI heard it was good So my company from out of town wanted to go there so we decided to meet there one driving from west side of town The other all the way from the east side of town and we get there has signs up in the front showing the days specials so I get out of the car walk up to the front door and it has a paper since be back at 5:00 and this was about 2:00. There were five of us and they lost our business went to another restaurant. I sat there and watch several other people while I was waiting for my out of town company to meet me but several other people went walked right up to the front door in dismay so poor business..... That was my first experience unfortunately but my second experience was different So yes I went from a one star to a four star because I actually enjoyed it thoroughly. Had a nice cocktail and got some blackened shrimp tacos which were absolutely delicious I made sure that they were compliant with my really strict diet which they were so all is good! I ordered a couple sides like a salad without the croutons because I'm gluten free and the balsamic vinaigrette was really really good and a side of Ratatouille which was also a little spicy but still delicious. Overall I thought it was delicious! It just goes to show you should always give a place a second chance because you might be surprised like I was with the...
Read moreThis place has potential, but unfortunately misses the mark in the service category. The biggest issue is that the front of the house is staffed by inexperienced teenagers. One of them seems to be in charge of making drinks, but is constantly getting distracted and doing other things. Meanwhile, the kitchen is cranking out food and no drinks are being made. Several tables of customers were finished eating before drinks were even made. I kept hearing that "they got slammed with drink orders" but the reality is that the kid in charge of making drinks kept leaving the bar to do other things such as bussing tables, running food, and answering questions about the menu. I watched him make a total of 3 drinks over a 30 min span. We ended up finishing our food and paying just as someone from the kitchen came out to start helping with drinks. Mind you, we ordered food and drink at the same time, and spent around 30 mins eating after waiting around 20 mins for food. If you're going to pretend to be a tiki place, you gotta crank out those drinks. Otherwise, you're just an overpriced Baja taco spot which is exactly what this place feels like. It's too bad, I really wanted a cocktail with...
