Let's be honest, University Plaza isn't going to win any awards for innovation or unique experiences. It's a classic strip mall with familiar national chains like Safeway, Ross, and PetSmart. But for a quick grocery run, grabbing some pet food, or snagging a new outfit on sale, it gets the job done.
Pros:
Convenience: Right off Milton Road, with ample parking and easy access, it's perfect for a no-frills shopping trip. Variety: From groceries and home goods to clothing and restaurants, you can find a decent selection for everyday needs. Anchor stores: Safeway and Ross offer reliable options for essentials and deals. Clean and maintained: The plaza is generally well-kept and clean. Cons:
Lack of unique shops: If you're looking for something special or local, you won't find it here. Limited dining options: While there are a few restaurants, they mostly cater to fast food or casual chains. Busy during peak hours: Parking and navigating the plaza can be challenging during peak times. Overall:
University Plaza is a 4-star option for convenience and basic shopping needs. It's not fancy, but it's reliable and gets the job done. However, if you're looking for a more unique or exciting shopping experience, you might want to explore other areas of Flagstaff.
Tip: Check the store directory online before you go to see if they have what you're looking for. And if you're visiting during peak hours, be prepared for...
Read moreI live very close to this Plaza so I am driving through it often. I like the many features the center has. It has a good variety of stores and helping services. Kinko's, FedEx, Pizza, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross, PetSmart, Sally Beauty Supply, Massage Envy, fresh bread bakery, other food places that are fast too medium sit down. The parking lot is very open. The closer you get to Milton, I suggest watching if you are pulling out of the parking center. There are many shortcuts like driving behind the plaza to get to the other side which will help you get to another Street leading to a store, Walgreens, and Speedy Gas Station. There are stop signs, please acknowledge and follow them. They're there for a reason. The worst is people crossing the parking lot ignoring the path. I have seen an RV get stuck in the winter trying to enter the Shopping Center...
Read moreI shopped at multiple stores in this shopping center today. When returning to my vehicle to drop off purchases between trips, I noticed security removing the other two van-life-type vehicles parked near me.
I still needed to shop at the pet store and other places but decided I’d rather go elsewhere than risk the chance that they’re banging on my vehicle bothering my cat while I’m still spending money here.
I just arrived in Flagstaff, this was my first stop. While I’m sure the security guards were just doing their jobs, the white supremacist vibes here are strong.
Don’t worry, that showed me! Now I’ll never stop here once every two weeks and spend all of the money I need to survive for your profit. That was my bad. Truly dangerous behavior, I’m so glad this location puts a stop to this kind of thing. The world is a safer...
