Italian Bakery & Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Flemington

It pains me to write this review because i really wanted to fall in love with this bakery and never enjoy low rating places.

I came in 2 weeks back to place an order for a cake for my spouses Birthday, after hearing great praise about this place i wanted to support local and get a unique cake for her. On the way out after we set the cake and date for the following Thursday i picked up some Cannolis

The spouse said the Cannolis weren't the best she ever had and was a bit disappointed. Had me worried if the cake then would be any good but i had my hopes.

Thursday came, i swung by around 2pm to pick up the cake for her birthday, it was absolutely beautiful! Very nice lettering and detail with sprinkles. Just as i wanted, they boxed it up and gave them a $5 tip as the cake came out to $25 which is not badly priced.

Upon delivering the cake with candles and all cutting into it unfortunately all the cake part was dry as can be, the only thing saving it was the frosting which actually was delicious. It tasted as if it wasnt stored properly or was baked the week prior when i ordered it and sat until my pickup date. They mentioned they do cakes differently but i didn't think dry cake was the different. Unfortunately with both those experiences i recommend against ordering from...

When I lived in the area 5 years ago it was my go to bakery. Now I moved back and fondly remembered a few choice offerings ..As soon as I was settled I ran right there to get some.

Of course there are tons of desserts and a vast array of cookies. But a few stand outs to me are the: Cheese Danish ..the best I ever had ! .. creamy and rich with a hint of apricot glaze .. sooo good ! You have have to get one! Then the have I guess it a nut horn with chocolate and raspberry jam glaze .. messy to eat, but worth every calorie! They also offer it with all chocolate on top .. that’s my next purchase for sure. Of course the Regine sesame cookies and tiny Linzer tarts cookies .. but you find your own favs.. but go over there and get some ..Now! You’ll thank...

This place is fantastic! My family and I love this place, from the cappuccino, baked goods, and most importantly the owners a brother and sister are some of the greatest, hardest working people I’ve ever met. My daughter loves their cookies, my son loves their cheesecake which is excellent! They’re great local people and I would recommend this place to everyone I k ow and even those whom I don’t.
