Great Wall Chinese Food — Restaurant in Flint Charter Township

First time trying this place. Was excited as there are not too many Chinese food restaurants near home. The flavor of the food was good. However, the orange chicken had more breading than chicken. Crab cheese was really good as well. The downfall was that we picked our food up and got it home to discover that we didn't receive our crab ragoon. This was a bit of an inconvenience. So we made a call to the restaurant and the lady said that she will get it ready for us.. After returning to the restaurant my husband proceeds inside only to be ignored by the workers for about 4 minutes, seemed longer though. In the meantime he noticed our bag of our crab ragoon sitting on the counter the whole time he was there waiting oy to get what we paid for and did not receive.

So - on top of them forgetting to place the crab cheese into our take out which we realized after arriving home, we then had to drive back and then had to wait an additional 4 minutes to receive our food.. needles to say, this was a bit frustrating In my opinion not great customer service.. Now the rest of our food is cold, and we had to make an additional trip. The fact that they kept us waiting seemed shady and unprofessional.

Yes the food is decent. Not so great of vibes. I spent a lot of money there. A little recognition for the inconvenience would have been nice instead of being ignored. Major turn off.

In summary, the food was pretty tasty but we didn't appreciate the lack of costumer service.

Make sure to check your bag before heading home. This is the first time I've ever had a Chinese ethnic food restaurant forget an item... with that being said, I understand that this is a new business and they are trying to work out the kinks. Tried this today for the first time so I got a plethora of different things. The veggie fried rice was delicious! It’s hard to find fried rice that isn’t yellow rice. It had great flavor and lots of veggies. 9/10. We also got the veggie lo mein. The noodles are a bit thicker and chewier which I kind of liked. Again lots of veggies and good flavor. 9/10. We got the pork fried wontons and they only fry one wide verses some that deep fry them which I enjoyed but the filling was missing something. They give like 8 in an order which is great. 7/10. We also got both the bourbon chicken and the general tso chicken. The bourbon had good flavor the the generals was lacking and the texture of both was way off. Very chewy. 4/10 on the general and 6/10 for the bourbon. Same with beef and broccoli. Meat was off and not much sauce and ALOT of broccoli. 4/10. The egg rolls are huge and pretty good with flavor 7/10. And the crab rangoon shell was very thick but the flavor was good. Also 7/10. Overall not too bad especially if you’re a veggie and rice...

I did not enjoy the food at all it just wasn't flavorful enough ask for spicy got the opposite order different meals that taste the same the Szechuan chicken and mix vegetables where identical taste there were more on the sweet side and lack flavor the chicken was very soft which made it taste like squid didn't know what I was eating. the general toso chicken & sesame seed chicken there was very little chicken and a ton of batter shrimp fried rice was just okay nothing stuck out even with soy sauce asked for extra green onions also brussel sprouts guess they were short supplied did not receive them I can't recommend this place to anyone the veggies did taste fresh but overall the food was just plain bland...
