This was by far the worst visit I have had here. As I'm walking in to the restaurant there is a waitress with her hand down the front of her pants - gross! And she is picking her teeth with a toothpick. Yes I should have walked right back out but I took a chance hoping she wasn't my waitress. I used the bathroom OMG disgusting!! The smell was horrible and looked like a toilet was overflowing there was water everywhere. The women I seen with her hand down her pants was not my waitress, but now to my order. It was a fattoush towok salad I requested no onions no cucumber - got cucumber on it. ( I Told the waitress she giggles says oh yea I forgot to put that on there :/ not funny to me.) Then I ordered deboned chicken which is about $22 and it's usually chicken 2 breast and 2 thighs. She brings to the table there is 2 chicken tenders and I said why do I have chicken tenders she said those are chicken breasts I'm like no they are not those are tenders. Like Wow just wow. If you didn't have breasts then should say don't have the ingredients for that platter. I always get deboned chicken and never 1x have I gotten chicken tenders. Until yesterday . We were the only ones in the restaurant The waitress only came over a couple times and then I kept looking her way because we were done and we were ready for the bill and a couple boxes as I turn to get her attention she has her fingers in her mouth I'm very hesitant to ask for to go boxes because that is just germs all over the place. I proceeded to ask for boxes I do not know if she Washed her hands before grabbing those I want to say in my head that I hope that she did :( On top of all of this the floor is so sticky our feet were sticking to the floor. 😩 This will be the last visit to this location. In the picture is my salad that I took all of my cucumbers out that we're not supposed to be in there. And the other picture is clearly a chicken tender. There's only one on the plate because my daughter ate the other one She doesn't mind chicken tenders however I do not like chicken tenders. So the cook/ restaurant trying to pass them off as chicken breasts is a joke. And also on top of that I am paying for chicken breast which is more expensive than chicken tenders and I still had to pay the original price for two chicken breasts and two thighs but clearly got two...
Read moreAs a former employee, I am a witness of the establishment beyond the lobby/dining area ( even within these areas) . The food is not storaged correctly, pans filled with garlic and sauces left open , creavences are mold and dirt filled, the grills look disgusting (if I’m not mistaken, they’ve caught on fire due to the very poor matenance of them) the floors in the back are dirt filled with old pieces of food, the plates, pots and pans have grease and food stains. The cooks and dishwashers would light and smoke their cigarettes while the food would be cooking. If you’re lucky , every now and then, you might catch a cockroach trying to sneak into the Togo orders or playing around in the salad mixing pans. I’ve saved at least 3-4 Togo orders from the invasion of “the roaches” . And all the employees walk around as if they didn’t see such things. I was properly trained at IHOP prior to working there , no wonder I only lasted a month there! I quit due to a incident between me and an employee . (That was my final straw) Everything is just disgusting , and I could not BARE to see customers eating food that was possibly crawled or devoured prior by a family of roaches or a rodent. You have employees sneaking and snorting drugs , eating weed edibles, walking around with such a strong musty scent, ugh. Besides that, the food is delicious, you’d have a great experience if you don’t mind the uncleanliness of the establishment. Moreover , I most definitely would not recommend this place to go and eat out at. Before the incident with the employee and me resigning, I had already reported my experiences to my supervisor of the youth program I participate in who is a state food/ restaurant health inspector and she is aware of the situation that the restaurant has. Read moreThis restaurant had always been a favorite for me as well as my family and friends for many years. This was one of the first Taboons ever and the food was the best. Sadly, this is no longer the case ! I had decided to stay away after a lukewarm dining experience this past spring ,but against my better judgement one day last week I thought; "Since I'm out shopping,why not give them one more try. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate which was served to me with blood oozing from the chicken. The waitress promised to correct the order and did return with a plate of done chicken. However ,when I bit down on it there was no seasoning to speak of that reminded me of my favorite dish. It was bland and I stated this to my waitress. Her response was: That can't be true! The same cook thats always been here cooked it. When I told her that I was well aware that Taboons has not used the same cook since opening years ago ,she asked if I wanted to see a manager . I again repeated ,I just want you to know that this dish is not seasoned . After feeling silly for arguing with her , because she wasn't going to budge at this point, I told her I was leaving. Well, another person comes over and asks ,"May I help you Maam? Are you the manager I asked? No she stated, but I understand that you are not satisfied with the food. I am not I stated. Well she went on to say ht there was nothing wrong with the food ,and that if I attempted to leave the place without paying,and these were her exact words "If you leave without paying for that food, then I'll just have to call the cops ! In a word ,this establishment has completely gone downhill , and I will be glad to see them finally go out...
