10/22/23 Lasts nights experience was a complete dumpster fire. My husband and I placed our order online like we normally do, never, have we ever experienced what we did last night with Teriyaki Madness on Miller Rd. We placed our order at 6:43pm, at 7pm we get there and my husband goes in to get it. At 7:10pm he comes out to the car with no food, losing his mind. He proceeds to tell me that someone took our food, that they are refusing to remake it or refund him because there is no manager in the building and that they don't give away free food and that he would have to purchase another one. At 7:12pm I go in with the receipt, left husband out in the car with our son to cool off. I wait my turn, and I say I placed an order at 6:43pm and it is now 7:12pm, the lady immediately interrupts me and tells me "she just spoke to my husband" I said okay so how are we going to fix this she says " you'll have to purchase another one" I said no, I am not paying for another one as I didn't receive the first one. The guy in the kitchen then chimes in and says " I can just make you another one" I said please. I tell him my order we ordered a large bowl with broccoli and noodles chicken breast with extra chicken. I make the announcement that I'll be sitting right here, so we can be sure that I get my food. I sit down and I'm just watching them. He says to the lady working the counter, yeah I just made that one, and says " I bet it was those teenagers." He no more than said that and two teenage boys walk in with you'll never guess. Yup, they ended up with our food. The kid said that's not even remotely what I ordered, I ordered orange chicken on rice with an eggroll. At this point I bit my tongue because all I wanted to do is say "Oh there's my food, it's a good thing you guys don't give away free food." I am dying at this point. I keep my mouth shut and I continue to watch this crazy lady at front counter get even more frustrated. Who may I add is wearing sunglasses and her winter coat "inside" and at "night" and is clearly struggling to read the order slips, she just seems completely out of it. This is who they have bagging the orders, but its my fault, they don't give away free food and if I want my order I need to pay for it again. Get outta here with your nonsense. No apology, just mad at me that I wanted MY order that I PAID for. That's $20+ meal and yes we ALWAYS TIP! Props to the guy in the kitchen that just made us another one, and didn't give us too hard of a time, unlike the Rockstar at the counter who wears...
Read moreFirst off I'll say the food was good enough for lunch and a chain. I got the steak and chicken teriyaki with the noodles (my friends got the fried rice) and the vegetables. The noodles still had a little bite to them which was nice, the vegetables were crunchy, steak was cut very thin but flavorless, the chicken had a nice crispy edge I do like it charred but it was charred too much and it was dry and stringy.
Teriyaki has a nice flavor although it's quite thin like soy sauce. Pools in the bottom of your bowl. So don't keep adding more like I did it's in there it's just not on your food it's in the bottom of the bowl. The chili Sriracha was really where it was added had great flavor and stuck to your noodles good that's what the red stuff is in my photos.
The potstickers are pretty decent and the crab rangoon needs more crab but has a nice flavor and is crunchy.
There's plenty of seating, everything was very clean (they were wiping things down as we sat there), there's lots of parking and it's centrally located on Miller road to other things and there's music going if you like hip hop .....so the ambiance is in the eye of the beholder.
Service was quick although she never did smile and I could barely hear her when she talked but the woman who was making the bowls in the back had more personality.
My biggest gripe is the prices are extremely high for what you get. We paid $60 for three people that's a nice sit-down meal at Applebee's. What I will add though is you get plenty of food so we were able to eat on our bowls twice so you're really getting two meals.
All in all it was nothing special but nothing to complain about either just a chain...
Read moreWhen & what i eat: July 28, 2022. The large chicken teriyaki bowl with noodles and vegetables.
What I liked about it: The take-out was ready and waiting for me when I got there and it was easy to order online. -It had a good teriyaki flavor. Seasoned well. -It was huge! I eat on it 3 times with leftovers still after.
What I did not like: quality of ingredients. The vegetables were just a bag of cabbage mix with a couple bites of broccoli. The chicken itself was basically Tyson pre-cooked chicken strip quality. The chicken I got was very fatty and not great. The noodles taste good but I was upcharged $1 for them. Knowing how cheap pasta is, that is silly. I easily got bored of the taste. I eat it once while fresh and hot and warmed it up 2 times after. Every single time I tossed out nearly half my plate. It taste good at 1st but it gets old quick.
Would I personally Eat Here Again: No.
Would I recommend it to others: Maybe? If you are REALLY craving teriyaki and don't have the time &/or money to drive just 2 minutes down the road to Mongolian BBQ, then sure. Give it a try. But seriously just try it 1st. Order a Jr size instead of large in case its...
