Worst encounter with this lady who claimed to be a corporate manager. Imagine that. Instead of being cooperative and trying to fix the problem she insists that I call DoorDash, in which case I did and they cannot do anything about it. However leaving door dash a bad review about a specific location eventually adds up and sooner or later they can get suspended from their services which I have seen happen before. Having to account for so many food mess ups door dash can put you on a probationary duty meaning if they keep receiving bad complaints then they will eventually suspend the account with the franchise at that location entirely. It would be so unfortunate as well, takingin consideration that I called another location & I was told that the phone calls are all recorded and that’s just what cottage inn does. He is positive that that is true because he has went through the recording with the general manager at the miller road location. So it would be sad to contact the actual general manager of the store to see what they have to say. And if nothing is done, as it seems like nothing has been done before, I can go ahead and call corporate. Because this young lady has been disregarding to others over the phone before multiple times. Me and buddies of mine get together and we order pizza and watch the games on tv occasionally, and this wasn’t our first encounter with her. I got close friends of relatives who own a jewelry store as well right next to the shop there and I wouldn’t be surprised if they possibly know the owner. In which case we have drawn the line with her disrespect and disregard to the customers. And nothing is being done about it. Either way this young women’s mouth who is filled with nothing but rudeness & disgusting disrespect will eventually find out the hard way when it comes to this next complaint potentially interfering with her status as a so called “manager”. she didn’t like how sophisticated I was speaking to her apparently, it must just not be in tune with her everyday acumen. It was obvious her pragmatic & applied cognition couldn’t result in a relevant conclusion. She went on to ramble about how she was “matching my energy” clearly she could never, considering her non-practical intelligence and non-ethical way of approaching a situation over the phone. Door dash will not approve an entire order for almost $30 just because steak was missing on my pizza. However it still was an additional 3$ up charge but apparently it’s not her problem. The way she spoke I could of thought she resembled nothing less of what a hood rat is. A person of her nature should not be working in a store in an area like grand Blanc. This area is not for hood rats. Grand Blanc is a highly sophisticated area and has no patience for those devoid of intellectual sharpness. If you can’t handle a call in a dignified manner then you should not be handling calls, and by all means should not be working in an area that expects high quality service as well as any kind of customer care. By no means am I an ignorant person and the way she tried to justify her way of speaking because she thought she was correct about having to call door dash and they would handle the situation, was nothing but utter incompetent. As I said door dash will not replace a 3$ difference especially if they see that you have already eaten the pizza. The pizza was not just for me it was for two others as well whom just so happen to be elders. They would have never known the difference. But by the time I had gotten to the pizza there was only two slices left. So if I were to show door dash they would of said “because it was already eaten we won’t be able to replace it” had I had the time to even take a picture I would have. However I didn’t mention that to her because I don’t have to explain myself to anyone about anything. Regardless, it still had no steak. this review isn’t just for the pizza it’s for the idea that no one should be handling phone calls if they don’t have the social interaction...

Read moreOn November 4, 2020, I called GrubHub to order from Cottage Inn for the first time. The order was supposed to arrive at 7:15 pm. I gave really detailed directions, and nobody has had trouble finding my home, but this driver was driving around, couldn’t find anything, even the leasing office. He was asking what the building shape was, how many buildings inside the complex it was, if he needed to turn at stop signs and intersections, and so on--just really crazy questions that were unnecessary if he would have simply followed the directions I gave. He also kept telling me he wouldn’t deliver to third floor. I told him that I'm disabled, and he was arguing with me about whether I could walk and so on. Unbelievable. I said that GrubHub has always delivered to me without a problem. In fact, I had had a delivery that same week without an issue.
I called Cottage Inn and talked with some woman with a squeaky, unpleasant voice and said if he couldn’t find me by 8, I wanted a refund. When I then called after 8, they said that it’s THEIR policy their driver doesn’t go to the third floor and that this was their driver. So apparently this driver works for GrubHub and them. When I told the woman that the guy can’t even see the huge numbers on the building, she said he is vision impaired. I said there are some bare minimum requirements of the job, like if you can't see any numbers on buildings, how can you make deliveries?
She said I would be refunded, so I asked her name for my records. She replied rudely, “You don’t need that.” This call was at 8:03 pm on November 4, 2020, so if you're management, you need to talk with this employee about the way she treats customers. I contacted GrubHub and complained and was refunded the order. I just moved here, and I could have been a regular at Cottage Inn, but with this as my first impression, they've lost me as a customer. Pretty surprising that a business will treat you like this, especially during COVID when businesses are suffering. I'll spend my money elsewhere where they actually want my business enough to treat me...
