Like trying to get a toddler to do calculus.
I understand, and have come to terms with, their system being very clunky and needing to ask a half dozen times "do you want that Mike's way" when no one gets it Mike's way, drowned in vinegar so much that the bread is falling apart before you even open the wrapper, because the sandwiches are really good. But today's visit was like trying to get a square peg into understanding the tax code...
I want all of the toppings please (while pointing left to right at the entire array of toppings) with the oil and vinegar on the side. Leaves off mayo and pepper relish. Goes to cut the sandwich. "actually could i get everything. the mayo and pepper sauce while pointing to the mayo and pepper relish (yes, I understand I said the wrong madeup word for their peppers, but calling it pepper sauce instead of relish, while POINTING to it, shouldn't have been too much of a stretch). Puts the sandwich back together. "could I also get the peppers on it, while pointing to the peppers" Them: "oh, you want that on the side?"....
Ordered a hot sandwich for the first time for a coworker and they wanted some of the toppings from the line. The sandwich was already wrapped and handed to the cashier before I could say anything. Me: "oh, can I not add toppings?" Them: "sorry SIR but you have to add toppings for hot sandwiches when you order". (I really, truly, was not being a Karen at ALL during the visit and was very pleasant asking over and over again to get toppings added to the first sandwich) Okay, you mean every other time i come in here to order a sandwich you ask me 800 times if I want it "Mike's Way" and i'm just supposed to magically know I can't order toppings on a hot sandwich??? This isn't the soup nazi!!
It was wild the experience I had. Like a trip into the...
Read moreWaited 20 minutes for my order to be taken the server wrote down my order and we waited 10 more minutes for our order to be made. We asked the server is everything on our sandwiches she said yes. I noticed our sandwiches never hit the condiments station so I open the sandwiches to double check and no added condiments were added. Took the sandwich back the server suggested to add the condiments to the sandwiches instead of making a fresh one. I refused and asked for a fresh one. We waited 20 more minutes for our sandwiches to be made. They made 4 more steak sandwiches from new customers before they made ours, so hold us hostage because your employees messed up. The manager never apologized or offered any compensation after 40+ minutes. A stranger, a customer had offered us some free coupons and said to us he was wondering why we were still sitting there and our meal should be free. The manager is a coward. When I see other people getting their steak sandwiches before us that came after us. I ask how much longer and the manager said they are coming up with an attitude. Like wow how inconvenient of our time and inconsiderate. I will never visit this location and I plan to spread the word to my family and friends. On top of the price we paid for our food this was unacceptable and manager should be fired and they need to learn to slow down and...
Read moreThis was my first and last time at this particular jersey mikes. I’ve never seen the level of uncoordinated movement as I did here. 2 out of the 5 ( white girl with blueish hair and a young white male) employees looked as if they were trying to, the other 3 appeared to be clueless. The guy at the register had zero clue what was going on, the kid finishing the sandwich moved slower than a sloth, and the one on the grill accomplished about 4 hot subs that were clearly started prior to my arrival ( I was inside the store for more than 10 mins). The cleanliness of the store was just as bad. The sun shining through the windows showed every crumb and oz of liquid left on the tables in the dining room. One guy placed a pickup order and was in the parking lot and walked in the same time as me and they said “they’re working on it”, 5 mins later he comes back in and they say it’s not ready but the app notified him that it was. They told him to comeback in another 5 mins. My #13 giant on rosemary looked as if it had been ran over with a truck I’ve never seen bread that smushed. I frequent other jersey mikes often and have never had a bad experience like today. So kudos to the two employees for trying but the rest of them aren’t worth $1/hr. Time for some training and...
