If it comes to ice cream in Florence, any visitor can't help but stop by to see if the taste stands up to the advert. I'm going to let my pics do the talkin and reassure that the taste is authentic and doesn't leave any chemical after taste. Service was exceptional. Flavors were not all the typical ones which assured I will need to revisit again. 3.99 for single scoop....but hey you're a tourist, money well spent for local economy. FYI...salt taffy lovers paradise on selection. Can't comment on the taste. Update July 2020... If you're interested in contracting covid-19, please make sure you make a stop here. No traffic pattern, people eating their ice cream in the store with their face masks down and their six children all meandering through the store while waiting for their family to finish the order so you don't even have a chance of seeing what is behind the counter. Send your kid outside once you order and keep your pie hole closed until you leave. Otherwise, ice cream...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in for ice cream and got in line. I was first. I got a single scoop of pistachio and almonds. He was next. He asked for a double scoop, which was only a dollar more. Started with salted caramel and then asked if they had any huckleberry. She said yes, that it was in the other cooler on the other side of the cash register. She said she'd have to get me another single cup and charge the 5 bucks rather than just the 1 buck for a second scoop since the cup I had my first scoop in was for a single scoop. What? Does that even make sense? I hadn't even started to eat yet and we hadn't paid yet, but now I couldn't get a second scoop? Geez. Girl couldn't get her head...

The staff depends on the day and the year really as some staff are super friendly others are just kind of on autopilot. The flavors of Ice cream are great and there is quite a variety to choose from here. There is also some other confections to choose from as well such as fudge, chocolates, salt water taffy...etc. The atmosphere when not crowded during less busy times of the day is nice to take in as they have a great selection of old coke memorabilia to look at hanging on the walls around the shop. If you are looking for some great ice cream with a bit of atmosphere and a feel of old downtown Florence then this is the place to go! I would highly recommend a stop here for desert or just for a refreshing...
