This Ford themed restaurant is unique, as I've not seen another like it anywhere. Ford Motor Company has been around since 1903. This place shows that history with photographs, Ford signage from beginning to present day, garage theme inside complete with not one but two model T vehicles on lifts appropriate to time frame. Needless to say, any car or history enthusiast will love this place.
Now the food is primarily a burger and fries place and it is delicious, I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger cooked medium with all toppings listed on the menu, the burger is cooked perfectly hot with slight amount of pink inside, perfectly seasoned, the seasoned french fries were perfect side to accompany the burger. Several other sides can be ordered in place of fries, with a small up charge for premium or extra sides. Food arrived quickly, and the waitress was very attentive, checking with us to see if we were interested in dessert, and at the time, we weren't sure, so she said she'd check again later. She did ask again when we were finishing up, we declined dessert, and she promised she'd not keep hounding us to buy dessert. She made sure drinks were refilled, my water and my friend's iced tea as needed. The cost for two meals was less than I expected as two people with 25% tip was a little over twenty dollars each. I was very impressed with all aspects of Ford's Garage from the approach outside into the building, the tables and chairs, and everything inside was very clean. When I went to wash my hands before eating the sink in the men's room took a minute to figure out as the water appears to come from the oil drum base and it has a petroleum nozzle affixed to the top. (Hint - there is a valve on the copper pipe on the wall leading to the oil 🛢) which I found to be a fun element to hand washing. If I was to have been with any kids, I would stress the importance of supervision. I know the 7-10 year old me would have been playing with the sink and probably would have made a mess with the water. I'd give the entire experience 5 stars as the level of service is way higher than we've come to expect now, and this made for a great day out in a...
Read moreLet me start by saying how excited I was to have a fords in my area. I ate at one in ft. Meyers and it was amazing. I dreamed of one day biting Into a bison burger again. After months of its 1.5 hour wait we finally got in on a Tuesday night. I had hyped this place up so much to my family and left the place apologizing to them. I will say the service was very good. Everyone was friendly and the place was well kept, our order came out hot and correct so that end of the business gets an easy 4 stars. Here's the issues however. First it's a cool place with unique decor and photo ops but it's very loud and it's one of those places that makes a big deal for birthdays which personally I don't like too much. The tables are rather small and too close together. Getting in and out at our seat was alot of excuse mes and sorry but we ordered alot of food and drinks and there was no room for it. If inwere alone then it's a good sized table but for 4 people no way. The food looked amazing but very disappointed over all. The wings had great sauce but were very chewy and overcooked, the ribs were dry and over cooked as well as my burger even though it was medium well plus they dont have provolone cheese, wth. The chicken tenders were very soft and undercooked, seems like the oil wasn't hot enough yet and just soaked up into the breading. They lacked a great deal of flavor as well like needed some season slat or something. The margaritas took almost 17 minutes to get to us. Tasted like all filler and no alcohol as well. The only highlight were the fries with good seasoning but they also were a bit tough like they were sitting out for a while. Finally when it was said and done we get a check for over 200 bucks. Ok totally not worth that and frankly for this area that's way too expensive. I think it's a cool place to check out but for me it's a one and done. If I want a burger I will be headed to red robin as atleast for this area, they are 100% better...
Read moreWe went as a family on Father Day and we were sat fairly quickly considering it was a holiday. Once at our table, we sat with menus watching everyone around us being served from seated to drinks to appetizers to dinner. We sat for 30 minutes without being acknowledged before getting up to leave. I spoke to the manager as we left and she handed me a discount card. I told her I understood it was a holiday, but everyone else was served with the exception of our table. Fast forward a month. My husband and I go back for a date night tonight, giving them another shot. We got seated in that same section immediately when we walked in. Two couples were seated just before us in the same section. One couple had drinks, appetizers and food before we left and the other couple had drinks and appetizers. Again, we were never even asked what we would like to drink, let anyone have dinner. However, someone did walk up to our table after we’re had been there 10 minutes and pick up the ticket from the previous customer, and another server walked to our table with another customers appetizers. I told her we’d been there for 15 minutes without being acknowledged and yet nobody was sent to our table before we got up and left. After 20 minutes of sitting at the table with only menus, my husband and I got up to leave. I found the manager and explained what happed for the SECOND time as I handed him our menus. All he said was “I’m sorry”. I then handed him the discount card we received the first visit and said we won’t be needing this. It was after 7:30 and they were not busy. Poor customer service will ruin the best of businesses. I was a customer service manager for 15 years. Your...
