This is one of my favorite places to eat when we come to florence, South carolina. We made reservations for 4 on a friday night at seven pm We arrived exactly on time, and we're seated within ten minutes. Our friends joined us a couple of minutes later, and our server showed up promptly within five minutes. She had served us the last time the four of us were here, so we were excited that this was going to be a great experience based on our last. That would not be the case. We placed our drink order for 4 margaritas. And ordered a pizza dip. About ten minutes later, our waitress brought us waters and biscuits. Another ten minutes later, the pizza dip arrived, but still no sign of margaritas. When she brought the margaritas after a total of a 30-minute wait, we placed our dinner order. The boyfriend ordered surf and turf and opted for a dinner salad instead of the broccoli that comes with it, his best friend order the marinated ribeye and also replace the broccoli with a dinner salad, his wife ordered a grilled chicken salad, and I ordered the santa fe spicy chicken salad. 20 minutes later and without our server returning during that time, our food was brought to us except for 1 dinner salad. The gentleman who brought it accidentally gave my santa Fe chicken salad to our dinner guest, Donna, as I waited on what I thought was be my salad. Everyone began eating, and in a couple of moments, my salad was brought out. The boys never received their dinner salads until they mentioned it after the entrees were delivered. Donna and I were halfway through our salads before she mentioned that hers was spicy, and I mentioned that mine was bland and we realized that we were given the wrong salads. The restaurant was extremely crowded during the first hour we were there, and there was a large party of thirty or so that were sitting beside us, which slowed down the efficiency of the staff, and they were also one waitstaff shorthanded. Although the service was less than stunning because of all the above mentioned the circumstances, the food was good. Our waitress, as always, was just lovely, and it won't deter us from coming back. I will, however, consider not coming on the busiest night during the busiest time.

Had a late lunch/early dinner at Starfire Grill in Florence, SC. They were closed for a while due to a fire. My husband always likes to dine here when in town. We actually went somewhere else, and when Rich found out Starfire was back open, we left and came here. Upon sitting down, he was reminded of the fresh biscuits with honey, that they bring to the table. Take note of video....lol. He thoroughly enjoyed them!! It was my mom's 1st visit, and our server had to bring two rounds of biscuits. I had the cheeseburger sliders with bacon and broccoli 🥦. The two sliders had regular patty size meat, appreciate that it was just enough for me. Yum!!! Everyone agreed that the broccoli with lemon was delicious. Mom had the patty melt. It was a bit too much cheese for her, but if you like cheese, get it! Rich had the Greek potatoes and onion rings. Nicely sized, generous portion and the onion used were Vidalia onions! So we all left full and enjoyed the meal! Can't leave out her server, Carrie. She was an excellent server. Knowledgeable about menu, attentive, friendly and would ask for her next time we eat there! Glad you're back open Starfire! See you next time!

The food was fine, but the new owner has absurd charges. For a party of 3.. there was a 22% automatic gratuity charge added into the gross bill total, then a 8% tax on that total, then a 2% hospitality tax, then a 4% charge for using a card. Then they ask for a tip in addition to that! The food alone was $71 but with tax and fees it was $97! Edit: Your fact check is wrong and you missed the point that these are high charges.. higher than any other restaurant iv been to in town. See attached receipt. 22% x $70.90 = $15.60. That was the 22% gratuity charge on my receipt. Subtotal amount $86.50. Then it shows the 8% tax and 2% hospitality tax, which makes it look like it was a part of the subtotal but reflects the pre-gratuity amount, that part you said is correct. And after we paid that bill with gratuity included, the receipt leaves space for adding a tip with a new total. We ended up paying over 36% in taxes/gratuity and our $71 meal was $97 for 3 people. 22% gratuity, 8% sales tax, 2% hospitality, 4% processing. ($70.90 x .369 = $26.16 (26.16+70.9= 97.06)

Two stars is, unfortunately, very generous of a rating for me to give. Four of us went out at 7pm on a weeknight. They were able to accommodate our request for patio seating, which we we're thankful for, but everything went downhill from there. Each member of our party ordered a water and a drink from the bar, which took 15 minutes to arrive, and then prior to even paying for our meal, the waitress requested our bar glasses back because she was "being rushed to get those back to them." The complimentary rolls were raw in the middle. The 'best pizza dip,' as titled on the menu, was very greasy on the top, as if it had been scooped from a large pan and then popped in the microwave, accompanied with bland store bought tortilla chips. I ordered the Grecian chicken and made a request that the olives be removed (whole olives, by the way, not cut or diced) and was told, "they come in a pre-mixed container, they probably won't take them off but I'll make a note for you anyway." I couldn't imagine if I had asked for them to accommodate one of my food allergies that could literally kill me but the kitchen staff might be too lazy to pop on a pair of gloves and remove something, or even produce a dish that was not premade to accommodate for that. They, in fact, did not remove the whole olives on my dish, but nice to know that even the waitress knew they would not be accommodating. Not a single dish that came out to that table that night was anything above mediocre. Steamed broccoli that was still crunchy on the top, lamb that was unconvincing in its identity, and you can be certain we didn't order dessert (we we're asked after the waitress had already asked if we wanted to separate the bill, and then corrected herself and asked about dessert). Aside from the food, the service was overall mediocre and not attentive. I understand that the waitress had tables inside, but all of your tables should be treated with equal attention, so I can't imagine the service her tables inside were receiving. It's worrying how the kitchen can be able to produce high quality food with so many channels (drive through, dine in + patio, catering, AND food delivery services) and it's just clear that they can't produce quality food. All that for the bill to be just shy of $200 with the tip. I could sit here and list off at least ten other places in Florence with higher quality food and service that wouldn't nearly be that expensive for four people. As a long time food service employee, I don't even want to imagine what that kitchen looks like, because it certainly showed in the quality. Won't...

Hey Y'all I do not make it a habit to give such low reviews to local establishments. However, the experience I just had was no exaggeration the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We ordered one of the chicken dishes, and it came out dry as a bone. We were perfectly fine with eating it and going about our day. However the waitress asked how the food was. We told her that it was quite dry, and she said that she would fix that for us. A few minutes goes by and she brings us another plate of better looking but still dry chicken. The waitress asked if that was any better. We told her it was still dry but would be happy to eat it. A few minutes later the manager comes by, and asks what the problem was with the food. We explained that the food was dry but that we were happy to eat it. The manager all of a sudden became very defensive and had an attitude with us. He claimed that he picked out that chicken himself and there is no way that it could be dry. Taken back by the managers response we picked up the chicken and showed him. To this the manager responded "Do we have a problem? Because me and you can have a problem if we need to". Never in my entire life have I been spoken to like this at a restaurant. This manager was disrespectful, had an attitude, and escalated the situation. He ruined our evening over some chicken that we were very happy to eat and were not planning on making a big fuss over. However, I would like to say thank you to our waitress who was nothing but kind to us and very understanding. She was the best part of...
