Stopped in today for the first time in several years and nothing has changed. It's a crowded, tight space that is very uncomfortable. It's hard to know where the end of the line is and even harder to get to it -- wall-to-wall people. Kitchen space was just as tight -- and let's just say it was not very appealing to see the back of the house while waiting in line. It took 10 minutes to take the order for each of the two persons in front of us -- no idea how long it took before they were actually served. Drizzling outside and every table inside was occupied so we decided to get take-away. We chose a wide sampling -- lemon bars, maple pecan bars, baklava, a cinnamon roll, chocolate croissants. We've tasted each and none are fresh or flavorful. The croissants are more like raised dough than croissants -- raised, but no lamination, stale, and tasteless except for the chocolate smeared unevenly on top. Everything tastes like it was day-old baked goods and it shouldn't at these prices. I would love for this to have been a better experience. But my recommendation is to make the drive north to Waldport for guaranteed fresh bakery goods. It's a beautiful drive and the pasties and...
Read moreThe crabby pesto omelette was really delicious I thought it would of came with a slice of in home toast but it didn't. ☹️ Oh well it was still tasty. I had a caramel cappuccino and he did an amazing job because it too was delicious. My husband said his regular coffee was tasty too. We went to the bakery because we own a local bakery and love to see what products people have and with covid-19 to see what people are doing to stay afloat. Your son did an awesome job telling us about the bakery and where it was before it moved to this location and who all works there it was real nice to see another family ran business. It was interesting to see the variety of items in your shop from candy to sandwiches and pastries to cookies the place looked a little rough after the Valentine's weekend but they still has some very fresh items. My husband commented on some different cookies I think it was a root beer something we will have to try when we make it back to...
Read moreCute, cozy and great bites! I happened in to this little gem while looking for a last minute cake and the cake was so good that I came back the next day for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. It’s small, but charming and just right for this sweet little coastal town. The berry cake was just right and not too sweet. The coffee was fresh and hot and the breakfast sandwich hit the spot. Be prepared to wait, this isn’t fast food, but it’s worth your patience. Besides, Old Town is a great place to slow down your pace and enjoy some deep relaxing breaths, while enjoying the beautiful scenery. There’s a couple of distanced tables inside as well as some cute tables outside for eating and chatting. We took ours to go and sat by the water and watched the birds and blooms. Definitely worth a visit if you like to treat...
